Re: Blackpool
Best venue in Blackpool is the Waterloo - they have quality bands there regularly.

Re: Blackpool
As a now outsider, for Blackpool read Burnley but without the entertainment. Blackpool feels like a right sh*thole cos you have you memories and expectations but if you take away its best bits (Pleasure Beach etc) then you're just left with a Blackburn or Burnley (a dump)

Everywhere in the UK is a sh1thole if you go with the intention of finding fault.
I go to Blackpool a couple of times a year and have a good time with great friends.

Re: Blackpool
We avoid Blackpool. Best to head a couple miles out from the place.
Mid-morning, when the tide is out on a bright winter's day - park up just outside Fleetwood and walk along the beach into Cleveleys and have some fish & chips, either in a café or sat on the seafront. It's the small luxuries that make life worth living.

Re: Blackpool
I lived in Blackpool for years, all around that area, Blackpool, Cleveleys, Knott-End Fleetwood.
Bought a house in Blackpool, near Stanley park but moved as soon as I had kids.
Easter weekend is a **** show.
No place to have kids

I used to love going to the Cavendish in Blackburn in the mid-'70s.Devils_Advocate wrote: ↑Sun Apr 24, 2022 10:50 amAs a now outsider, for Blackpool read Burnley but without the entertainment.
