Need Liverpool to win
And hope that Gerrard picks his strongest 11 on Sunday v City
And rests a few for Thursday

Now that Everton are back in the relegation mix I wonder if that could also play on his mind on Thursday .

Maybe it's wishful thinking and maybe we don't need his help. He describes himself as a Winner so I'd expect him to field his strongest side

He wants Kalvin Philips from Leeds, only way that happens is if they go down

So far we've got Gerrard will try and throw the game on Thursday because he wants Liverpool to win the title , Everton to go down and Leeds to go down.

He’ll want to win, that’s who he is regardless of the opposition and I would expect nothing less. Turning this conversation to us, if we needed 3 points to stay up against Newcastle I can’t think for one minute that Eddie would be be kind to us.

If I was villa or Newcastle I'd be looking at our ageing squad and the potential threat Leeds or Everton will pose them next season and give us 3 points each or is that wishful thinking?
