Centre forwards always sell well.

Just need to wait until clubs get desperate at the end of the window.
Doesn't that only apply to goalscoring ones? :D

Lads just scored for his Country.

Chris Wood got a big money move after only scoring 3 in half a season. WW had 2.

Woody woodpecker made no real difference to our overall season despite the inflated figure we shelled out by capturing him early before the contractual release date, you are more than welcome to him next season for a reacquaintance in a loan capacity if you can afford it (very much doubt) he’s no future at Newcastle.

You couldn’t afford him anyway.

I doubt it.
Thanks for the big bucks, though I reckon you'll probably spend a bit more on him yet pulling the splinters from his arse. 👌

We could afford to pay what he’s actually worth, we just couldn’t afford to pay what you’d be asking. Massive difference between those figures. As you now know…. 🤣🤣🤣

Yawn.
The only reason you're able to spend shedloads of money without breaking ffp is solely down to one man.
Mike Ashley did an excellent job of running Newcastle in a financial stable manner and as a result the new owners can spend a ridiculous amount of money and not break ffp.

Let's have a round of applause for Ashley ...

He's not going to give a round of applause for Ashley when he's too busy licking the backsides of the Saudi government. The sad get is proud of having their money.

I think Newcastle fans are gonna have to get used to over paying for players. If they didn't already. Maybe if they hold on to Wood for a few years he'll start paying for his worth in midfield like Joel Linton.

At least he'd be more likely to be onside if played in midfield

I'm sure this has been brought up, and apologies if it's a daft question, but what's in it for Weghorst to go on loan to Turkey?

If he's on, say, £60k* a week here reduced to £30k a week upon relegation, is the loaning club going to pay us the £30k and him £30k so he ends up fully paid? So we pay him nothing, we get £30k a week, he gets £60k a week. Is that the general gist of it?

*arbitrary figures plucked from thin air
He's been offered 2.7m Euros by Besiktas, about 45k a week sterling.
