So when we’re talking in future we can distinguish between the recent past and present as SDB (Sean Dyche’s Burnley) and VKB (Vincent Kompany’s Burnley).

The comments at the bottom of the article are stacking up nicely.

I don't quite understand why people are upset about this.

We're just Burnley to me but if VK is in charge then it's not a lie to refer to us as "VK's Burnley".

If they say ‘Burnley’ then they may as well say ‘Mansfield’ or ‘Newport’ as far as the average punter is concerned.

If they say ‘Vincent Kompany’s Burnley’ then they have the attention of far more people.

Just been doing my own analysis of the championship teams. Not easy to finish in the top 6 at all. I really do fancy us in the top two promo spots...but it going to be one hell of a battle to get there especially with a basically new untried and tested team.
Interesting times ahead.

Not sure any prediction is valid at present. Change out virtually total from one season to the next, is hard to contemplate.

I never liked us being “Chris Waddle’s Burnley “ I sincerely hope that being tagged with another high profile ex-pro’s name doesn’t prove to be the same kiss of death.
I do realise that this one is not a player-manager, and joins us with valid managerial experience.
Fingers crossed…

I hope we are not led down that path. It's too close to VenKy's Blackburn.

It seems the BBC has had enough and closed the ability to leave a comment.

It appears that journalists have a legal obligation to state " Vincent Kompanys Burnley " when writing a Burnley report.
A journo from Huddersfield ( Dan Chicken ) stated as much.
