That game was a smooth sailing and then Muric cocks up and we just lose control. Even at 3-1 we didn’t have that control and confidence we had at 2-0.

Muric kept us in it second half with some outstanding saves to be honest. We lost control when Jay went off, Barnes was absolutely woeful today.

Nothing to do with Muric. In the end he saved us from defeat.

Not a cat in hells chance is it Muric’s fault. Being 3-1 up, the finger has to point at VK, game management and substitutions lost us the 3 points.
Whilst we’re on the topic of Muric. I’m sick to death of hearing moaning folk on the game. He’s clearly told to play that way, and who wants to see a ball lumped up front if he’s capable of passing it 30/40 yards to feet.

We need a real leader at the back, as someone mentioned the other day we have a soft underbelly, and once it want 3-2 you could see they'd go on to equalise.
Shades of the Eddie Howe days when you never felt the games was won even if we got into a 2 goal lead.
Lots to admire in the 1st half, but that 2nd half shambles is a real eye-opener.
And I'd give you long odds on us keeping many clean sheets this season judging by the early weeks.

He might be told to play that way but he still was entirely at fault for their first goal. Whether it's him or the instruction, we need to stop playing so many silly bugger passes at all times. It's like we're afraid to go long when under pressure. 2 of our goals came from long balls without pressure, incidentally, but when you've got the opposition forwards pressing your back line you cannot always rely on short passing out, it's absurd. Especially when with all the respect in the world- our players are not of the City/Liverpool standard where you can afford to do that more, and even those players make mistakes.
Blame Muric, blame Kompany, doesn't matter. If we keep excessively playing short under pressure we will keep conceding needless goals.

Maybe not Muric’s fault outright that we didn’t win but he has a mistake in him every game and that cannot happen when you’re a goalkeeper.

We have gone from iron jaw to glass jaw. A lot of work needed between the defence and goalkeeper otherwise we will be looking at another winter.

Why will we? Can we not develop our skill at it? Fulham, Bournemouth and Forest all played from the back last season, all got promoted. Yes there needs to be a lesson learned on when to get rid and not overplay, but at the same time some of our best football and chances created today started from the keeper.

Agree myrick made some great saves. But the first goal cock up gave Blackpool hope when they were being ripped to pieces. Cullen was as culpable as Myric

I am really lost how people can blame Muric it was a decent enough pass maybe a little to close to him but nothing that decent control wouldn’t have sorted. Just 1 of those things really.

Have enjoyed the last 5 matches more than I’ve done for years, going on ,& hoping we don’t get battered ,looking at the league table ,& trying to find where we can get a win, watching the likes of Brighton,Everton,Leeds on Sky ,& being depressed when they won in the last minute, waiting for seem like hours for VAR to decide if we’ve scored, enjoy the ride everybody ,it’s entertaining .

Have to agree with this. It beats working out how we are going to get 38 points to survive each season.
Don't expect us to get promoted this time just see what happens.

Are you enjoying the Kompany ball or just not being in the prem?
As much crap as Dyche got in the last few years, I can’t help but think he would have got us playing some good successful stuff in this league.
There doesn’t seem to be any stand out teams in the championship

Dyche has gone. Dyche deserved to go. Dyche is no longer at the club. We are 5 games in with a brand new squad.

I beg to differ on being ENTIRELY at fault for the first goal. Taylor, THB, Muric and Cullen could have all swept the ball up the pitch if we want to point fingers at players. I’d argue the first goal was an accumulation of errors, ending in Cullen being closed down/being read too easily by the opposition, and it wasn’t the only time that the Blackpool players pressed and won the ball off him to be honest.

I'm enjoying the structured intelligent football, I hope one day to see it in the PL from us. I hated the football for the last 4 years especially, Dyche did what he thought was right and that's fine and I understood the reasons behind it, I just found it a dreadful watch - football is supposed to be entertaining.

Yes that’s fair, I think naturally we are going to be more entertaining in the championship regardless of the manager.
I highly suspect playing this brand in the prem with our finance, we would get spanked most weeks.

I thought that on the game. Watch their first goal back though and I’d say it’s Cullens fault. Demands it in a bad position then trips over the ball.
Still gutted we drew that though - we do have a soft underbelly

Whilst there are similarities in how we can’t defend for toffee. This is not really anything like how we played under Howe. Much more possession and in the main at a much higher tempo. Also much more entertaining to watch. Just hope that the results follow.

I said this on the game, he shoulda gone out towards the left, turned infield, got the ball stuck under his foot, next thing they’ve scored. The amount of people around me that can’t see that bigger picture, or have the ‘Muric is terrible’ blinkers on, is so frustrating.
Cheering like we’d scored when he kicked the ball long ffs.

Muric's error was not the issue (and as others have said he wasn't wholly at fault) The poor subs (especially the 2 wide olayers) and the way Blackpool were able to cut through us at will from around 65 mins onwards was the problem.
Defensively we were all over the place for that 20 mins and for all our dominace 1st half all the best chances of the game fell to them.

Fans wanted varying changes, in part because they were bored with the grind of the PL.
League
Manager
Players
Style
We got all 4 and it's not been dull since the season started, thankfully.

Cullen 100% at fault for 1st goal. Watch it again.
I tell you what does help though. The crowd putting massive pressure on the keeper and then cheering when he kicks it long to no-one. Jokers.

I'd say both those sides were miles better than our current side.
I would love to disagree with this, but can only do so partially. This side is a striker of the ilk of Ings or Gray’s speed/finishing to outclassing both. Problem is I can’t see us finding today’s equivalent,
I’ve changed my mind…. I DO disagree, mainly because it’s too early to tell, but if team Jeckyll can impose itself over team Hyde, it will be better than either of those promotion teams IMHO

Impossible to say right now.
Dyche’s second promotion team were pretty average at the start of the season.
I remember Leeds away on the opening day, utterly garbage performance, we couldn’t put 3 passes together. Then we lost at Ipswich a few weeks later. It didn’t really click that season until after Christmas.

it's deffo not Muric's fault - Cullen turns the wrong way
How is Cullen turning the wrong way?
He’s in the middle facing the ball

They were both at fault. But surprising you post that photo to support a view that it was definitely not Muric's fault. Just look at it properly and it should be easy to see where the problem started.

I don't know, for me both those sides had 3 or 4 players who would have walked into any other team in the league. I don't see anyone in our current side doing that. We also had plenty of experienced, battle hardened pro's.

Nope it was inevitable some form of rebuild would have happened. However it’s likely the scale would have been considerably less.
Why do you think some of the players who have left would have stayed because of Dyche? No chance and we’d have been left with half a squad due to him being so particular on the type of players he wanted. We’d have ended up with loads of free transfer 30 odd year old ‘good characters’ in the twilight of their careers
