A really solid performance, with some excellent individual displays too. Pleased for Benson, his best performance so far and showing some encouraging signs. Well deserved win.

BPF did well to keep the ball in play for a throw and not a corner...then a solid save.
Lot's of big lads in for this corner...BPF with another smart save.

A very comfortable win. Very good to watch. Lots of options for MOM.
In auto-promo position. Might not stay there but nice to have a home win. Nice, attacking football. I wonder what Zanouy(?) thinks sat in the stands watching those. Churlinov didn't get on. Glad Costelloe got a run out. Plenty of options.
A happy night for us clarets.

Best we've played this season for me. Millwall tried to make it hard but Cork, Cullen, THB, Jay and Tella were different class and thats not even mentioning Benson's cameo.
This is most Ive enjoyed watching footy sine the season we come 7th and long may it continue.

Didn't VK say it could take 4-5 months for it to all come together?
How ******* good will we be by then?

Phil Bird keeps saying that we're second but we're not. We're third. Norwich got an injury time winner.

Re: Match Thread Burnley v Millwall
Been watching a movie, sounds a fairly comfortable win though, even if we did have to wait for the goals.
A home win, still unbeaten at TM this season, and a clean sheet to cap off a solid evening's work.

Re: Match Thread Burnley v Millwall
1st half they did a ( last seasons ) Burnley on us. 2nd half they couldn't contain Benson. We weren't as ruthless as we were at Wigan....but who cares. 3 points UTC

Re: Match Thread Burnley v Millwall
Glad we brought in some different players for a cameo. It's a long season and we apparently have a deep bench at this level.

Much easier to pick one of Lowton, Tarks, Mee or Taylor every week!box_of_frogs wrote: ↑Tue Aug 30, 2022 9:38 pmIt was far easier when we were getting spanked every week and we had 1 to choose from.

Re: Match Thread Burnley v Millwall
Just watched the goals again and shout out for Jay. His run across the CB and attempted header is what flat footed Bialkowski allowing Vitinho in at the back post. Possibly going in anyway but I’m glad he didn’t leave it to chance.
