Running away with the league
That 1st place in the division looks strangely claret and blue not red and white right now.

Re: Running away with the league
Still not seen a side better than us this season. We made Swansea look like relegation fodder. Shame Sheffield United have already been promoted though, just two spots to play for now.

Bellends of the finest order stating a team running away with the league after 9 games was it?
We should be about 10 clear with the points we have dropped
Made a good swansea side look average. They wont their last 4 or 5

Top is still very crowded within 3 points of us, I’ll wait a bit yet but today we looked super

4 wins on the bounce before today. And they will be in the mix, so to beat them in such a comprehensive manner should be celebrated.
Re: Running away with the league
I’m old enough to remember several of this board’s finest claiming we’d be straight down to League One in the summer. Maybe they’ll be proven right yet, it’s only October after all, but I’d be pretty embarrassed if I were them.

Good luck to the pretenders who wish to knock this team off it’s perch. If you finish above Burnley, you deserve massive, massive credit.

Re: Running away with the league
But we haven’t beat anyone in the top six yet have we? Oh, hold on.
Cue Newcastle claiming they’re not top six. Well they’re not now.

Let's not get too arrogant here - long way to go yet. But today was a test and we pretty much aced it.
My changing positivity ...
Pre seaaon - lots of change, pote tial to go horribly wrong, would be happy mid table
1st couple of games - wow! not worried about relegation but not sure we have the consistency to press the top
10 games - definitely above 10th but still we draw a bit too many to be the real deal
Today - playoffs ought to be a minimum really
Last 2-3 games we are getting better and better

Re: Running away with the league
Newcastleclaret says some stupid things, and this was one of them. However there was a danger a few weeks ago that if the top two at the time continued their fantastic form, and we continued dropping points in games we dominate that we would leave ourselves too much to do in the second half of the season. Being top of the league a few weeks later shows how unpredictable this league is and also maybe that Sheff Utd and Norwich aren’t quite as strong as many thought.
Combine that with us looking like we’re really starting to click and with VK’s best 11 becoming more apparent, things are looking rosy.
