Do we have options to buy on any of these loans?
I fear we will do so well this year, only to lose them all in the Prem and start over.
If we can get them signed up, with their age and profile, we could have a great future.

Lot of talk about Beyer having an option but that seems to have been ruled out more recently. Kompany also suggested recently that the loan players will need to be replaced in this window or in the summer.

Agree Tony.
Watching Jordan leave will leave a huge hole. As will THB. Both have massive futures in the game.
I suspect reading between the lines that this is inevitable and that’s why we have gone out and bought 2 new centre backs. If we get to a position whereby our lead is unassailable at the top of the league I wouldn’t be suprised to see Beyer and THB dropped to give the new guys chance to bed in before next yr.
As for other loans although we have Charlie who is a fine left back I do wonder if our disinterest in approaching any other left backs in the Jan window indicates a permanent move for Maatsen is in the pipeline. I was unsure at first re the lad as I feel sometimes he has a mistake in him defensively (wer all human) but have to say he’s integral to our style of play , and quickly becoming my favourite player and offers so much going forward.
In regards to Tella as far as I’m concerned just sign him bfc , whether we sign Obafemi after Foster, the lads proved his worth and we can rescue him from a club where his career stalled. If we are looking for resale value and the price is right this fella has it in bucket loads if we can get him firing in the prem which I believe he will under Vinny.
Another thing I’d like to add is that as upset as us fans will be to watch some of the loans leave, I believe the players themselves will be just as gutted this time around (excluding Dervosoglu who hasn’t had much game time through no fault of his own). There’s a real bond between this team and its credit to the present management that this has been achieved with loans and a new group. It’s only positive on the front of attracting further high quality loans in the future and a far cry from the loans we’ve had previously in the last few years.
Up the clarets !!!

here's the real thing though - Kompany managed to attract all these TOP players to a Championship side........just imagine what he will be able to do with a PL badge on the shirt and a budget of sorts

Will be interesting to see what wages we offer players next season.Vegas Claret wrote: ↑Thu Jan 26, 2023 2:40 amhere's the real thing though - Kompany managed to attract all these TOP players to a Championship side........just imagine what he will be able to do with a PL badge on the shirt and a budget of sorts
