Transport to Luton Away
Transport to Luton Away
If anyone if struggling to get to this game and has a ticket we still have 1 space available on our 12 seater minibus
We are picking up from Burnley at 7:30 then Leyland around 8:00am and Junction 24 on M6 about 20 mins later
It is more expensive then the supporters clubs unfortunately and will cost you around £55 to £60
Let me know is of any use to anyone

Re: Transport to Luton Away
How come it's so expensive Bri?
I haven't tried hiring any transport like that for a while and know things go up but it seems excessive.

Re: Transport to Luton Away
it cost us £650 as we are doing 3 pick ups and just dividing the cost between us all. We had 8 of us but 3 more jumped on board so just trying to flog the last one so it is cheaper for all of us.It comes with a driver so that is why it is that much so we can have a couple of beers when we get there
We was quoted up to £1100 by some firms!!

Re: Transport to Luton Away
From recent experience of organising away trips that’s cheap.
I’d not run one for Luton because I know the cost would be daft with not being able to fill a decent sized bus and get the cost down per person (plus I didn’t get a ticket
)
Sunderland, Stoke etc all cost our lot £700-800 divided by how many seats we could fill.
You’re paying for a driver for a good 15 hours there plus fuel prices are daft etc

Dreading booking a minibus for Blackpool now.
Around 10 years ago we used to get a 15 seater executive coach with driver for London trips. 30/35 a head.
Inflation eh

Shame a "football special" train seems to be impossible to run nowQuickenthetempo wrote: ↑Thu Jan 26, 2023 2:38 pmDreading booking a minibus for Blackpool now.

Re: Transport to Luton Away
We got a cab back to Lytham after the West Brom game due to deciding it was a good idea to have a drink rather than get the last train back and he did it for £60. Train/bus combination probably the most cost effective option.Quickenthetempo wrote: ↑Thu Jan 26, 2023 2:38 pmDreading booking a minibus for Blackpool now.

No trains from Blackburn to Blackpool stretch when we play them.claretonthecoast1882 wrote: ↑Thu Jan 26, 2023 2:44 pmWe got a cab back to Lytham after the West Brom game due to deciding it was a good idea to have a drink rather than get the last train back and he did it for £60. Re: Transport to Luton Away
Think it is going to bus for us to Blackpool so instead of a 34 minute train journey now nearly 2hr via Preston from Leyland. At least with the fares capped at £2 per single journey it will only cost £4 each way

Re: Transport to Luton Away
We could at least just start with normal trains!ŽižkovClaret wrote: ↑Thu Jan 26, 2023 2:40 pmShame a "football special" train seems to be impossible to run now
