Arsenal win would keep the title race interesting at least instead of the usual City procession.

Re: City or Arsenal
Anthony Taylor is a good referee. If only refs at our games booked keepers for time-wasting.

no way that's a penalty, that's Taylor in a nutshell - horrific decision, it's a contact sport

Re: City or Arsenal
Not a pen for me. It’s nothing to do with the lack of intent, just the fact that Ederson doesn’t possess the ability to instantly disappear.
Making for a good game though.

Re: City or Arsenal
The interpretation has always been that if a player gets his shot away then any contact afterwards is dismissed.
It happens at least once a game, if we are going down this route then expect multiple penalties. We know that just isn't going to happen though don't we?

Re: City or Arsenal
exactly, Arsenal didn't even appeal for it. All about Taylor, horrific ref, I still remember him giving us a penalty at Swansea after a hand ball by VokesGoody1975 wrote: ↑Wed Feb 15, 2023 8:16 pmThe interpretation has always been that if a player gets his shot away then any contact afterwards is dismissed.

Re: City or Arsenal
Very much doubt we'd ever get a pen like that given us away at Arsenal.

Whatever your view on pen / no pen; he should have booked every citeh player hounding him.
Re: City or Arsenal
Just seen the Arsenal pen incident, sorry but it’s not a penalty. The keeper has attempted to make a save, entitled to do it, Nketiah has already got his shot away and it’s missed, what an awful decision.

Re: City or Arsenal
How was that a foul against Grealish? Both players committed, both fell over. If anything it was a foul for handball by JG.
Re: City or Arsenal
City score through Grealish!

Makes you wonder just how many Haaland is going to end up with this season.
Not too shabby, is he.

One team has a world class striker and one doesn’t.

Re: City or Arsenal
Don't even need a 'World Class' striker to score the two headers Nketiah missed. I fancy arsenal to win that game with Ivan Toney up front, or Callum Wilson or Mitrovic. I'm not sure there's a team in the league that would swap their first choice striker for Eddie Nketiah. Maybe Man Utd.Bordeauxclaret wrote: ↑Wed Feb 15, 2023 9:26 pmOne team has a world class striker and one doesn’t.

Re: City or Arsenal
In the second half 22% of Manchester City passes were categorised as “long ball”, the highest 2nd half percentage of long ball passes since Pep was appointed Manchester City manager. Pep had clearly identified a weakness in the Arsenal back 4 and Manchester City full took advantage.
