Beyer and Borussia
Borussia were at the match yesterday and held a meeting with Beyer! They’ve posted on their instagram saying more to follow… could he be staying??

Re: Beyer and Borussia
If they've come to see him it doesn't sound promising for us keeping him, I'd be gutted if we couldn't keep hold of him he's the best loanee we have and I'd say most important he's a class act.

Re: Beyer and Borussia
I heard he went down the 110 Club at half time and had a few Ayinger Stien's with the Dortmund officials

Re: Beyer and Borussia
Last week they spoke so highly of him but also about his need to get games because he'd had a bad run of injuries - so on this day, he picks up what is probably his first injury since signing on loan for us.
Re: Beyer and Borussia
This deal we supposedly agreed to sign him up upon promotion is something I'm desperately hoping turns out to be true.

Re: Beyer and Borussia
I made a silly comment after the match last night which went along the lines of; "I think Chelsea and Monchengladbach must have been watching their players on Sky last night and that would account for Beyers "injury" and Maatsen being slightly below par (by his normally ridiculously high standards) and as neither wanted to go back didn't want to overly impress their parent clubs." Of course at the time I had no idea that Monchengladbach had come to watch Beyer.

Re: Beyer and Borussia
Wouldn’t be reading too much into it tbh - just looks like a lighthearted piece on his time here. Changes nothing really - if/when we’re promoted, I’m sure he’ll want to stay in the PL and we’ll be ready to negotiate.

Re: Beyer and Borussia
Bumba is right…. Best loanee out of them all. Defensively excellent, positioning really good, and those surging runs forward are sublime. Best loan player since Gary Cahill.

dortmund

talking just for the sake of it…

There's a lot of talk but we need to see what happens at the end of the season. Beyer is not going to tell us he's looking forward to returning to Mönchengladbach is he. He's here to develop his career. Where that takes him we'll see. If he is an injury risk we may not want him.

Re: Beyer and Borussia
Interestingly, the Borussia M forum thread about Beyer mentioned how surprised they were he's avoided injury as he's picked up a few knocks there - this was before Tuesday of course! So there is that potential risk.Hipper wrote: ↑Thu Feb 16, 2023 9:27 amThere's a lot of talk but we need to see what happens at the end of the season. Re: Beyer and Borussia
Did my research because I wanted to know. He was injured only three times in five years. All of these not for too long. Plus two COVID cases. I would never call that a risk. Most players are injured far more often.

Re: Beyer and Borussia
While Transfermarkt is to be treated with caution, this does suggest a few more - https://www.transfermarkt.com/jordan-be ... 898/plus/1 and it was noted by a few supporters, but I dunno. He's certainly worth the risk to me, but just something to be mindful of.Claret1900 wrote: ↑Thu Feb 16, 2023 11:23 amDid my research because I wanted to know.
