Weird thread, and for what it’s worth, I don’t think we’ve missed Jay at all.
He was pretty poor in the few games before he got injured anyway.
Jay started the season on fire, and bagged a good haul prior to the World Cup, however he'd been off his game for some weeks before his injury.
Thankfully Barnes has stepped in, and while not scoring loads he's been a vital cog in our winning machine,
Hopefully the rest will do Jay good, and he'll come back firing in the closing weeks of the campaign.

What happens in the tunnel stays in the tunnel....except the bits that are shared with royboy. Doesn't quite have the same ring to it.
A tunnel bust up in 1st v 4th in the championship definitely wouldn’t be all over the nationals in minutes and it would be kept to a post on a messageboard. No news here.

There was no bust up. It was the Luton fans rattling the tunnel as Burnley players left the pitch and the Burnley players returning the favour.
The Luton players had long left the pitch before our players went down there.

I love the ‘I’m not gonna incriminate anyone’ comments followed by ‘no bust up is far from the truth’ and ‘barnes did Burnley proud’
Not the cleverest.

He’s one of our financial whiz kids, isn’t he? I imagine him looking a bit like Norris from Cory. Proper weird is this, unless cash changed hands in the tunnel and Royboy is Ash’s mafia accountant

Yes, he wrote the bestselling Burnley books "The Year We Won The European Cup" and Damian Matthew's biography "Football and Flying - The Story of A Midfielder Turned Concorde Pilot".

Are you claiming Roy is a bullshiter by any chance?

I have just 2 questions.
1. Who dug this tunnel?
2. How many managed to escape?

Brilliant books. Read them both cover to cover after downing six bottles of whisky and helping Ash to take on Thor and Superman in the tunnel.

Was having a quick browse after a long days research, but had to log in to tip my cap to you. Snorted out loud reading that, the Mrs (who likes a bit of historic gossip) thought I was still working and is very disappointed, a double-bubble. Thanks

Surely he must be Burnley FC if he is writing autobiographies about the club?

The weird thing in all this is royboy tells you he watched us in the 60s so you would have to put him 70+ yr old. Imagine being that age on seeking attention on the internet.
I do like the thought process though that with all the media attention the club receives since Kompany arrived and the game being between 1st and 4th, cameras there and the media there nobody saw anything apart from roy who probably wasn't even at Luton. Maybe Barnes sent roy a whatsapp video from the dressing room showing footage of the tunnel incident.

Bit out of character for Royboy this
Maybe time for those posters who are taking the Michael to call it a day now.
You never know what maybe going on in someones life and it’s hardly like Roy has a Wrongo (or few others) type history on this board.

Very wise words, some people don't think things through sometimes

Hope you're well Royboy, agree with Big Vinny K, out of character and it's quite sad to see how many have jumped down his neck to take the ****.
