Everyone saying fix... you realise we could have drawn them at any point prior to the quarter final but yet, magically, we didn't. It's not a fix you goons

Well we’ve struggled against lower league teams in the cup so why not?

Re: FA Cup 6th Round Draw Thread
Funny how both Manchester clubs get home draws.
And Rovers with a fair shout of making the last 4, either they or Sheff Utd guaranteed a trip to Wembley.
I thought good when City were 1st out less chance of us getting the poisoned chalice, but typically after reaching this stage we draw the biggest fish.
Wouldn't be so bad if it was even a home game, but no it's at the bloody Etihad again.

Well I hope we put out the first team and see how we'll stand up next year. Still.... so harsh.

Big game for the lads. At least we'll give them a game, and who knows, we might just do it. That's the beauty of the cup.

Oh f*** ***, just f*** ***. All this does is give City an opportunity to schmooze Kompany for the future.

I demand a recount. Shearer shouldn’t have been drawing both home and away teams. It’s not fair. I just knew tha number eight was coming out.

Re: FA Cup 6th Round Draw Thread
While it was as predictable as they come, the plus side is we're promoted and we get a challenge. The biggest challenge by far by any other Premier League side, so it'll be interesting.

Re: FA Cup 6th Round Draw Thread
Did they really have to make the draw so soon after tonight's games ? Why not let the fans bask a little in their achievements from tonight before bringing them right back down to earth with a **** draw all round.

Re: FA Cup 6th Round Draw Thread
That wasn't really Alan Shearer doing the draw. it was David Copperfield wearing a Shearer mask and if you watch him carefully you can see him palming a number 8 ball ready to produce as soon as Man City was drawn firstSalouClaret wrote: ↑Wed Mar 01, 2023 9:58 pmEveryone saying fix... you realise we could have drawn them at any point prior to the quarter final but yet, magically, we didn't. It is difficult to be disappointed when we have just qualified for the FA Cup quarter final. A big tv day out, money in the bank, and a free hit against UAE fc in our best season for donkeys years.

Gutted for Grimsby to be drawn away at a complete non-entity in their historic cup run.

Never felt so gutted travelling home from a win in my entire life
Re: FA Cup 6th Round Draw Thread
At least we’ll go there and give them a game unlike our performances there under SD.
Re: FA Cup 6th Round Draw Thread
Great draw, I think we will win. Massive statement when we do.
And to those claiming it’s a fix….WTF

I've just read back at some of the comments. So glad that some of you don't have anything to do with the club. If you did, the lads would be defeated well before the ref blew for kickoff.

Re: FA Cup 6th Round Draw Thread
Yeah! at least we know we've got the league to collect, but given the amount of lower league clubs anyone but City would have done, even Utd wouldn't have been as daunting and we've already acquitted ourselves reasonably well at OT this season.
What's the odds the Manchester clubs are kept apart in the semi's if both get there, which they likely will.

Well we'd have to either beat them now or in the final.
Could make things easier for when we get to Wembley!

Re: FA Cup 6th Round Draw Thread
That’s the luck, or lack of it would seem, of the cup draw. FFS!!!
Well done lads, here’s an away tie against a billion pound team as paid for by an oil rich country!?

I was just thinking this - surely he's got to go full strength
Re: FA Cup 6th Round Draw Thread
Yes bad luck but a chance to see how we measure up against the top side in the Premier League before the summer transfer season. I am sure Vincent's young squad will run themselves into the ground trying.

Re: FA Cup 6th Round Draw Thread
Got them in Cups in 2018, 2019, 2020 ....
To be fair, we have had a 2 year break from them but then we go and get them in our first FA Cup Quarter Final in 20 years !
Were balls 6 & 8 dipped in hot water for 2 minutes prior to the draw ? Asking for a friend .....

Re: FA Cup 6th Round Draw Thread
I’m sure Shearer was saying ‘8’ before he looked at the ball.
To add insult to injury, they get an extra day’s rest playing Leipzig on the Tuesday at home whereas we are away at Hull on the Wednesday. Then we get an international break so they don’t have to worry about what comes next.
Would have been better getting United with Weghurst ineligible if those are the rules.

There is no buts to this draw. It just stinks.

Worst draw possible. But on the bright side, if anyone knows how to beat City, it's Kompany

We are through to the last eight and people are crying. Some are even saying the draw was fixed. Embarrassing and pathetic.
