Football Survey

Post by Colheap » Wed Mar 08, 2023 6:32 pm

Hi

New to the board but have been reading it for many years and find ‘most’ of the threads very informative. My nephew is doing a research project at university about the inclusivity of LGBTQ+ within men’s U.K. professional football and he requires the participation of as many football fans as possible. He would really appreciate it if you could complete the survey. It only takes 5 minutes and you need to be 18 to complete it.

Thanks in advance. The link is https://forms.gle/cLyvBoD2JbFQa3zK8 . Hopefully this will work, obviously not done a link before.

I know what a hetrosexual is, but what is A cis-gendered heterosexual?

Completed

Wasn't sure what to say for the best as I generally don't buy any football merchandise. So the question of whether I would/wouldn't buy based on sexuality doesn't really come into play

Once one says "I don't buy merchandise" most of the answers are a given.

Done.

Some of those feel like it's an American oriented question, about how much I'd pay for a shirt with a specific players name on it, US sports team charge more for certain players than others.

Don't we charge per letter, so the longest names are the most expensive?

When you buy pre-printed ones are the prices vastly different?
US sports teams charge based on the player, so in the NFL the starting Quarter back is generally the most expensive shirt to buy.

So if it's based around `mens football`, why is the `L` included?

Anyway, i'll have a pop at it...

Reminds me of my United supporting nephew who wanted Kanchelskis on his shirt as a kid. His dad said he can Ince instead.

Can I say a massive thank you to everyone who completed the survey, my nephew is very grateful. He has told me now to take off the link then his study is not too biased towards the views of Burnley fans 🤣🤣🤣. Thanks again to everyone.

Used to be good mates with your brother back in the mid 80s. Big Everton fan back in the day. Good footballer and cricketer, as were you.
