Hull on Sky

Post by Cardclaret » Wed Mar 15, 2023 6:18 pm

I have NOW tv and usually pay for a day pass when we are on. However it's showing access to the Sunderland game only on the day pass. Does anyone know if a day pass would also give access to the Sky arena channel that is showing the game. I have come unstuck in the past paying for a day but not having access as it was showing on the red button and that doesn't work through NOW.

Its on Sky Sports Arena, which apparently NOW TV does show

How it does that I'm not exactly sure but I did google it earlier and it says its on website, app and NOW TV

It's an interesting point. it sounds like the day pass may only point to SS Main Event (channel 401) though SS Sky Arena is a valid channel (channel 408).

Channel 408 - Sky Sports Area.

The rest of the games are on the Red button.

If it's anything like red button games it won't show up until about 7.30.

I hope it's better quality than the red button games, I think they smear vaseline over the lens for them.

Haha. It'll be the same quality as the other Sky Sports channels. It's showing as Sky Sports Arena HD on mine. It's not a streaming channel, it should be like watching Sky Sports Football.

Thanks everyone, however it's seems my future son in law has Sky Go and he can rig it through his laptop to the big tv so happy days. Just need the 3 points now.

I have NOW tv. All red button games can be found by scrolling down to the very bottom of the main selection page. That means past all the films and other programmes that NOW offer, not just the Sports section.

No reason, as far as I know, why this won't work for Day Pass. I have season contract with NOW.

Sky Sports Arena is on Now TV on the AP if people subscribe to the Sports Package

Hi Paul

If you go on the tv guide on the NOW tv app, and select sports, you can scroll down to the Sky sports arena, and hey presto!

Yes I could see the game but you have to buy at least a month pass rather than a day if a red button game I think.

Yes that was my original question, which has become moot for me.

On the Now App.
Selext 'Watch Live ' - all of it - Scroll down the offerings. Arena is down near the bottom.
Think we're on after 'My Icon - Chris Hougton'.

Well, i hope so. :)

I just bought day pass and can see sky sports arena but only showing what’s on now and next, maybe that’s why someone said it shows up closer to KO? Chris Hughton on 7.30 - 7.40 … living in hope!

Got the app on my tv.

Nowtv website states all 11 sky channels are on nowtv.

Is the match 100% on skysports arena?

I’ve got Now TV on the magic lantern. Select Sport. Scroll down until you get to Planner. Click on Wednesday. And then you have a choice of Sunderland v Sheff U and Hull v Burnley. They don’t make it straightforward, do they?

Thanks Steve1882. I couldn’t find it and was starting to panic I would miss the kick off. Got there just in time!

Awful commentary by Lee Hendrie on Sky. Can’t they find anyone any better. I’m almost tempted to watch through Clarets+ with the sonorous tones of Phil Bird.
