No;That’s the bus station and multi storey car park, with the walk way over to the Arndale shopping centre.
The nightclub (Sands and others) was under the east side of the shopping centre. One of the few places I’ve been thrown out of
I won't ask what you did to get thrown out.

Probably more traditional than this season
Good.
This year's was OK for the Championship but if we are serious about our 'brand' then a classic, traditional look is a must for the Premier League.

Does anyone have any ‘inside info’ as to whether this seasons home kit will be discounted

Couldn't disagree more, the traditional kits are boring and nobody outside of Burnley fans wants one. This season has seen record sales and been available across multiple sites.
As long as it's claret & blue we need to be more open in the design if we want to reach youngsters around the globe.
It has to stand out, traditional won't stand out.

Although now reaching the doddery stage in years and normally being something of a traditionalist I have a lot of sympathy for this view. Anything that avoids the "is that a Villa or West Ham shirt" question will get my nod of approval

I am under the impression it is similar to the 93/94 shirts with blue sleeves and a collar.

I’m a traditionalist, the 93/94 shirt this paid homage to, I hated. I only bought that on the morning of the Carlisle away game. But this seasons, loved it from the start. Main reason, they finally got the shade of blue right after years and years of a wishy washy turquoise colour. Combined with white shorts…. Loved it.

Sorry just read more into the comments re the blades kit and its not next seasons - It seems to be a "special edition" to celebrate this season.
Maybe should have been silver striping to represent they came runners up in that case

This season has not seen record sales - they were nowhere near the 2009/10 kit which was, in your view, boring. What we got this season was a record first day sale, no surprise given it wasn't available until the day of the first game.

Ahh - OK - hadn't realised.
Assume the money we can command for the sponsor in the PL is too much for classic football shirts.
I just hope we don't end up with another gambling sponsorship.

If the new kit is inspired by one of our previous kits again could we see Classic Football Shirts remain as the sponsor?
It's certainly not the most lucrative sponsorship deal we've had but I think seeing our current shirt in the Classic Football Shirts shop window on Deansgate and in the London store, as well as it being a football themed sponsor has done wonders for the Burnley brand.
It's been a really refreshing innovative move and probably my favourite kit and sponsor (though it helps seeing us score 3 goals every week whilst playing in it!

)

Really hope we get on with this. It’s been looking likely we’d go up for 6 months so you’d assume plenty of time to get someone lined up.
Hate it when the kits come out really late - my kids like them for their holidays.

From what I was told, the deal with CFS was done with the club shop and had little value.

That would make sense. Maybe it was them or nobody at the time.
But I’d like to see them continue with sleeve sponsorship if at all possible.
In respect to gambling, I’m not a huge fan but we all want to see summer signings and have to accept they’re the top payers so it would me my expectation.

Quite simple really, the club shop manager did a deal with them. We had no other sponsor which is probably why the head of the commercial department went through the door soon after.

Total sales but the 2009/10 kits were only sold in the club shop in any case. It was a massive sale due to it being the 50th anniversary kits and our first Premier League season.

Argh - a shirt with a collar?
They’re not so bad if they’re more akin to the smaller collar on a polo shirt and quite firm (recent England shirts as an example). Invariably they’re too big and ‘floppy’. More Harry Hill than football shirt!
Our 05/06 and 06/07 shirts fell into the collar is too big category, for me.

Comments on here saying the traditional c&b kits are boring ... What a load of nonsense.
The majority of modern kits you see from a variety of clubs with all the flashes, slashes and slodges of weird colours pinks greens silver etc are hideous.
Our traditional kits with simple contemporary additions are the way to go. Our tradition is what we have and what we are.

Perhaps if you’d said club shop manager it may have made a bit more sense.
Your post read as if someone from CFS had walked into the club shop and said to the lass behind the counter ‘can we stick our name in your shirts” and she’d gone “suppose so”.
In any event it’s ridiculous if true that we relied on the club shop manager to get us a deal.

It's personal taste at the end of the day. No one is right or wrong with this.
This years kit was a 'nod' (if that is the right word?) to the endsleigh kit. If this year is more traditional - so be it. The club can't please everyone so perhaps mixing it up over the seasons is the way to do it.

It is very much personal choice. Someone posted the other week that he thought the black kit this season was the best we have ever had, I thought it was dreadful.

Personally I’d carry it on. More beneficial to CFS but being shown around the world would grow that business even more globally and doing so they could offer more for sponsorship in future seasons.
Say that to them eg, this much for next season and get yourselves in a position to offer this in 2024, 2025 and so on. If they can’t we can get out of the deal and go elsewhere

As successful as they may be and may become, I suspect that the sums involved would be too much if we offered them ten years before paying top whack.

It’s a nice thought but I think the only way this will happen is if we don’t have anyone else, like Forest didn’t when they allegedly got greedy, in which case it could be an option.
To put in to context I think LoveBet were paying £7.5m (although whether that all got paid I’m not sure), but they’ll be expecting many £m’s from a deal this season and doubt they’ll walk away from that as much as they might like to keep the partnership going.

I went in to the club shop part way in to the season and I was asking if they’d been getting any more in my size; the club shop manager told me that sales had already beaten previous record sales by 50%
Not sure if he meant ‘by this point in the season’ because it seemed very early to have already sold the most shirts ever, but he definitely positioned it as being a record breaking year in terms of shirt sales.

Bit obnoxious for Sheffield Utd to have gold trim…surely it should be silver
I think this could look quite nice with some gold trim. It'd have to be umbro diamond rather than a mitre obviously, but I reckon that would work

If you want gold or yellow trim then you need to look at 95/96 ? That one had gold/more of a deep yellow trim.

Question. Do shirts get discounted. ? Ive not had a shirt for many many years. Lad wants us to have matching shirts for holiday in a few weeks but im ryt for buying him another at 40 and me one at 50... wife making noises about one too.
They usually do go half price in January
I’m wondering if they haven’t done them this time as CFS will most probably take the remaining stock to sell themselves.
They have in the past taken/bought our remaining stock of kits and training wear to sell on

Can’t we just agree that it’s been a hit, it’s beaten the previous few years sales. It really is hard work reading all the pedantic posts.
Can’t see us having a betting sponsor next year…

Ah. Indeed. I'd forgotten about that one. I really liked it at the time, I had one. Not so keen now. I think it could be nice still with some subtle gold to it. And proper gold like in the SU kit, not yellow

This season has not seen record sales - they were nowhere near the 2009/10 kit which was, in your view, boring. What we got this season was a record first day sale, no surprise given it wasn't available until the day of the first game.
This season's is in another league compared to 09/10 season, it is very boring.
Word from club shop is that it's broken records with the amount sold not just for the first day but in general.
If we released 09/10 as our kit next season I bet it wouldn't be as popular.
Like you've said it was our first season back in the prem that's why we shifted some

Although now reaching the doddery stage in years and normally being something of a traditionalist I have a lot of sympathy for this view. Anything that avoids the "is that a Villa or West Ham shirt" question will get my nod of approval
Even both those clubs have changed designs slightly over the years and look miles better for it.
If we go tradition it's exactly like you've said 'is that WHU or Villa', we need to stand out

Yup - I’d prefer traditional but this is what is needed.
Fine line between a bit saucy/cool/unique and being a disaster though…
