Somethings like JJ Watt are very transparent
Other things like accounts , slowest auditors in the world and pre-season for some reason must be kept secrets

Did he score against us for Orient ? Seeing his name makes me think that for some weird reason
Apparently never played for them. Turns out he was a masseur for England under Capello because he spoke Italian.

Don't think he played for Orient. In his post playing days, he worked for Sam Allardyce at both Bolton & Newcastle.

Near Caxias, just outside Lisbon.
Very near the stadium used for the 1967 European Cup Final and a rather charmless prison .

I think some of our party found the inmates rattling the windows and lobbing rubbish around a bit off-putting

One of the only known popular and stabilising dictatorships of the last 100 years I understand too. Not that that excuses torturing of political dissidents mind.

Training camp in Portugal but most of pre season behind closed doors. I hadn’t heard Bolton, just that there was likely to be one pre season away game for fans to attend.
Training camp sounds likely, maybe mid June. Could be quite a different pre season this year. Probably taking ideas from his Man City days.

Or maybe not. Bolton have changed it. Sent by a BWFC mate. Showing Bamber Bridge away. Unless that's a youth team. Confusing.

Bolton have confirmed four first team friendlies today against Bamber Bridge, Curzon Ashton, Chester & Salford. No mention of a game against us.

Being mixed up with Barnsley is expected, being mixed up with Bamber Bridge feels dirty

They have announced a home game against prem opposition and high standard foreign opposition.
I presume both clubs named further up are the clubs.

Just think,10 years from now , we to can dream of playing teams of such quality, until then I suppose we'll have to endure international tours and friendlies.

Our game on the image above says 8th July. In that Marc Iles article it says the end of July.
Think someone might have got confused?

Bumped into someone on holiday connected with the club. They mentioned training camp in Portugal, no games. However returning to Portugal for a game. They only had those rough outline details. Nothing concrete yet.

On the new Bee hole end podcast today, one of the guys mentioned the squad going to a pre pre season trip to Portugal not long after FA Cup final for 10 days, then having 10 days off then back to the training ground for full pre season

They are playing Bamber Bridge on 8th July, the first of four games they’ve confirmed.

I’ve posted this a couple of times. We are going to Portugal in June for a pre-pre-season training camp. The players then have another break of ten days before pre-season starts.
It’s because of the abnormally long period from the Cardiff game to the first game of next season. We will be going back to Portugal again during pre-season.

I believe we will be playing a friendly in Portugal either Saturday 22nd or Sunday 23rd July. Hopefully it is open for fans to fly out and enjoy a weekend and take a game in and not behind closed doors. No idea when it will be announced though.
Hoping what I have been told (above) is true. Imagine announcements will be made in the next two weeks.

I think it’s a brilliant idea, especially for any early new signings and for the likes of foster, obafemi and Ekdal who only came in Jan

It's a shame there isn't a game abroad that supporters cannot attend. Most Premier League clubs have high profile games all over the world. I don't buy the secret tactics thing, we surprised the Championship last season but VK is hardly going to revert to Sean's 4 4 2. The Club has bonded with supporters over the last year and should keep up the could the good work with an attractive away friendly. Not Horwich

So all games are "behind closed doors" so far?
Shame, I loved the games in Ireland. 2018 I did the Ring of Kerry with family before then went to Cork for the game. Was cracking weather and a great trip.

Those high profile away games are organised by the club for money making opportunities
Fortunately our club let the manager decide our pre season schedule

Wasn't the west coast but back in 2013 (is it really ten years ago?) we had outstanding weather in Cork.
