Thanks. I generally think of discussion as two or more people considering an issue and listening to the others' points of view. What you get here is two people firing messages back and forth determined to prove that they are right.

Of course players will want to sign for Burnley. Of course players want to play in the Premier League.

Surely all players have huge self belief. I don’t care if a player decides to sign for Burnley to show what he can do so he can get a better move. In fact, I’d be delighted if good footballers use Burnley as a platform to move onto bigger and better things!

Id be disappointed if we were signing players that felt Burnley was their ceiling tbh, we need young players that are using us as a stepping stone and to make a name for themselves.

Yep that’s still a discussion….or maybe it’s a debate…or maybe it’s an argument ?
Either way you are on the wrong messageboard if you want a polite exchange of views where posters accept another poster’s point of view and simply move on.

Not seen enough of him to be sure but he will be a good sub or option for games where we need pace and power.

Probably not too expensive and with an injury or two he could be needed.

I doubt he's good enough for the Premier league, but it will be very beneficial for our defenders to train against lads with pace every day.

We tried to sign him last summer for 9m if the reports were right at the time.
That suggests we wanted him for the championship.

We got him on loan this season with a practically guaranteed permanent transfer related to promotion. Kompany said a couple of times he didn't feature a lot because he knew what he could do. Highly doubtful we'd be doing any of that if we were going to get rid.

I don't think round Arsenal's ground is bad at all. Tottenham is much rougher.

One walk down Seven Sisters to Spurs or areas around Hackney shows that London isn't all glitz and glam

Central London and it's immediate surrounding areas are lovely to visit - London en masse would be about 75% 'Shithole' by my barometer.

I am sure Sambi Lokonga will find Burnley most appealing compared to the likes of Beckton and Tuffnell Park.

There will be games next season where we are playing on the counter more so than possession based, and/or we will be sat deeper with lots of space behind opposition defences . His pace could come in very handy in those situations .
