The Director of " A touch of class " Melvin Frank, was sent this clip which convinced him that Jackson could " do " comedy. She was duly cast as the female lead and won leading actress for her performance at the 1974 Oscars ... 3 days after, she received a telegram from Eric & Ernie, " Stick with us , and we'll get you another one ! " ....

A proper actress ( what an earth happened to them ?) and a proper Lab politician. While I’ll always remember her seemingly always naked and being rogered senseless in her early films , a life well lived for sure .

A wonderful actress, especially in Women In Love and Sunday Bloody Sunday. She was always perceived as being very solemn and earnest, which made her Morcambe and Wise appearance all the more surprising - and delightful.
She appeared to be a woman of integrity.
