Extremely significant.
I dread to think where the club would have ended up if Barry hadn't come in.

On Towneley probably.

Barry Kilby's input and resources rescued and revitalised BFC at an extremely difficult time.
Ownership of Turf Moor and Gawthorpe was reestablished and the basis for Wembley 2009 was created.
During the Kilby era "the ranch was never gambled".
However, under less judicious ownership the ranch is now again mortgaged.
Thank you Barry for those years careful and prudent management.

even though it was not strictly applied - there is little doubt the Coyle promotion recused what could have been a very fraught time with Flood's bankers a few months later
