Re: Dundee
Great news. The SPL is a hotbed of talent, as you can see by the Scottish national team.

Didn’t we have an arrangement with Ayr United and Cobh Rangers? Never heard anymore about that?

Re: Dundee
Charlie Cooke, John Duncan, and Jocky Scott all played for Dundee. Wouldn't have minded one of them back in the day.

The infamous Jack Hillman came to us from Dundee in 1898.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Fri Oct 27, 2023 10:11 amIt was the other way with Seith - he went from Burnley to Dundee. Only player I know that we signed from Dundee is Kevin McDonald.

Clark's 24 hour Bakery is possibly the best signing we could make from Dundee

Yes, it went quiet. I wonder if it's still in place?

Re: Dundee
I saw an Ayr fan complaining on twitter about not getting anything off us, despite the link up and early expectation.

Very oddly, I was thinking about our relationship with Ayr just a day or two ago.

Jam, Jute and journalism that's Dundee.

That's quality, Ian. Not sure how many people would get that.

Thanks Ecc. The older ones amongst us, I suspect.

Re: Dundee
There was a thread not long ago about how close were the grounds of rival teams in the same city. For example Notts County abd Forest. Well Dens Park and Tannadice are just across the road from each other and as Ian had referenced near a famous old Jute factory that I used to visit. Not Jute any longer now processing Polypropylene - for artificial Turf.
