Amazing that that the Chairman has suddenly disappeared and is some how avoiding any criticism at all !
I don't know why any criticism should come his way, he gave VK the free reigns it seems.

We are showing absolutely no know how how to win a game. To have someone that won the league so often managing that team i find that quite amazing really.

Vincent is heading full throttle into Frank Lampard territory here.

You don’t know that for sure and if he did then that has proved to be huge error for the club financially

Lost with 67% possession 17 shots 5 on target 12 corners
Palace 33% possession 4 shots 3 on target 1 corner
Yet again possession no end product but at least we hit the target 5 times
This is a game we needed to win to allow us a chance to stay up
palace is a team we need to get pints from
Interesting stats, from what I remember last season we'd sometimes ave these kind of stats but only get a draw. (or rely on a Benson worldy to win). Palace, and sadly other teams, know that we'll cough up a goal somehow and are happy to sit back and let us do the work for them.

O’Shea was fine today - looked much better in fact.
We must have seen different games, I thought he was abysmal even before the goal. He can't pass, the whole team came out sedated second half but he's a ball playing defender who struggles at anything beyond a five yard tap to Beyer. I lost track of how many easy forward balls he either didn't spot or underhit, or how many he looped to nowhere or their man. And he doesn't offer much defensively either. I don't think Bellis would have been up to it at this level but O'Shea has all his flaws and slightly less quality in every aspect.

Attacking wise the 2 standout players from our Championship season were Tella and Benson. Tella went elsewhere and from Benson it’s been a complete no-show.

When you are having to turn to Jay Rodriguez for goals then the barrel really is being scraped in PL terms. Hopefully Foster returns fit and firing after the International break.

I'm not saying he was a world beater or anything but it was better than we've seen before that's all!

Perhaps I'm trying to clutch to a positive. Who knows

Why is it pathetic?
Everyone that paid to watch is entitled to boo, clap, cheer or sit in silence..
I take it your jumping around whistling and clapping the team after a stunning performance
Because we played well.......better than before, & everyone played their part in an entertaining game!
The team need encouragement......not booing.

I would like to see how our possession breaks down between in our own half and theirs as especially in the 2nd half we spent most time passing from side to side in our half with no idea how to get it forward so a meaningless stat really

My understanding is that this type of play, which most teams now employ to some degree, is about drawing an opposition player out and therefore creating space. It requires a lot of skill and patience - Hodgson will have drilled Palace to keep discipline and not get drawn out. Wasn't at the game so I am unaware if we achieved this much at all.

That's fair enough but I can't say that his performance today resulted in a loss or anything

I guess that's just how much the standards have been lowered.

O’Shea is terrible. Can’t pass, can’t defend, conspires to lose headers to players a foot taller than him. Not and never will be a Premier League footballer. Such a strange signing.

We just pass for passings sake. We have zero attacking threat and shite backline.
We could have played all night and not scored. It really is becoming a chore to watch atm.

How did we manage to go into a season with 1/2 dozen wingers and a centre forward who’ll be away for a few game in January and one that was past it last year?

I am assuming that this is a poor attempt at fishing. O’Shea was terrible, his distribution is as bad as I’ve ever seen
Worse than Trafford? I don't think so.

No, we pass to keep the ball.
When we get our possession rate up past 90% we will be very hard to beat :D
