Re: Player Injury Information
Paid good money to see the Rolling Stones last week, but Mick Jagger was not present. The promoters have just advised Mick had a throat infection. IMAGINE !!!
Re: Player Injury Information
I've watched burnley in far worse seasons than this, I Carnt see not knowing if someone is injured or not will have any impact whatsoever on my passion for the team.

Using this daft logic I take it you won't buy a season ticket in the early bird period.warksclaret wrote: ↑Wed Feb 14, 2024 11:30 amPaid good money to see the Rolling Stones last week, but Mick Jagger was not present. The promoters have just advised Mick had a throat infection. IMAGINE !!!
Do you wait for the transfer window to close before buying one ?

Re: Player Injury Information
A bit odd if you're paying the entrance money to see just one player and end up miffed because he's not fit enough to play.
Do you sit through the game sulking or support his substitute and the rest of the lads?

Re: Player Injury Information
At least when Dyche said "touch and go" you knew that meant no chance

Re: Player Injury Information
I've also watched Burnley in far worse seasons than this, but the key thing is, in far different circumstances, we should have done far better given the current circumstances, at least in terms of finance, irrespective of what the debt situation of the club maybe, bearing in mind the outlay on the team /squad, I consider as fans we deserve better, but given the current league position I'd expect to be better informed on the injury situation, not necessarily into great detail, but a bit more than we are.
Re: Player Injury Information
So we should only get info on injuries dependant on league position?alwaysaclaret wrote: ↑Wed Feb 14, 2024 2:09 pmI've also watched Burnley in far worse seasons than this, but the key thing is, in far different circumstances, we should have done far better given the current circumstances, at least in terms of finance, irrespective of what the debt situation of the club maybe, bearing in mind the outlay on the team /squad, I consider as fans we deserve better, but given the current league position I'd expect to be better informed on the injury situation, not necessarily into great detail, but a bit more than we are.

Injury info, doesn’t inform of birthdays or religious festivities though.

Re: Player Injury Information
Why is the nature of the injury important to you, or any fan, unless it is a career ending one?alwaysaclaret wrote: ↑Tue Feb 13, 2024 7:18 pmCourse it's so important, most of us are passionate and want to know when the mainstays are back, to give us the best chance of a win, but then on second thoughts does it "really" make any difference given vk's selections.
Is wanting to know the nature of an injury really indicative of an individuals "passion" for the club? I don't think it is.

As usual the thread veers quickly into extremes.boatshed bill wrote: ↑Wed Feb 14, 2024 3:45 pmWhy is the nature of the injury important to you, or any fan, unless it is a career ending one?

It’s nothing to do with entitlement as a season ticket holder or life and death, passion for the club etc etc.
It’s simply that some fans (me included) like to know how serious or not an injury may be so we have an idea of when the players may be back in contention. Especially the case when it’s key players like Foster.
The club seem more guarded about this information under VK which is not the end of the world. Other managers provide more of an update when asked. The media is interested in this so will ask the question at press conferences. And fans are interested as you can see from the number of articles online that are accessed about player injuries.

Re: Player Injury Information
I am with you BVK, and I know other fans feel the same way. Other posters on here don't see too worried about how little VK says, which is fair enough, but don't expect every other Burnley fan to feel the same way as yourselves or crucify them for having a different view.
This season so far has been a disaster, playing a guessing game up to one hour before kick off for many simply adds to the frustration, particularly when you are facing the likes of City, Liverpool and Arsenal within a few weeks. I cannot recall this lack of transparency under previous regimes
It would not worry me at all if we don't hear another peep re Redmond & Koleosho until they resume light training, we all know these are long term But if we take Beyer as an example, one of the most popular players at the club, he went off on 30 December v Villa, and has not played since because of" a knock". He was supposedly close for the Luton home game on 12 January but not heard anything (unless I have missed it) since. For all we know he could be out all season^
I will guarantee that at 2.00pm on Saturday , when the starting line up v Arsenal is announced, that there will be one to two pages of frustrations and questions on this site.

Re: Player Injury Information
do you think we are the only club that operates this way? plenty of prem clubs dont disclose details of injuries, most in fact. you only hear about some because of leaks, which is of interest at bigger clubs, not ours.
