But yes.... I am letting my ST's auto renew

When you do a number 2 and you press the button or push the handle and little or no water discharges into the WC from the cistern and the no 2's are still bobbing around that is a busted flush.Silkyskills1 wrote: ↑Fri Apr 12, 2024 1:51 pmI'm rather elderly but can someone explain to me what a 'busted flush' is? And if you decide you want food at a game it's going to be £40 I understand with 1 less option than this season.Quickenthetempo wrote: ↑Mon Apr 08, 2024 1:19 pmI can't make my mind up if the no food option is good value or not?
They have took 600 quid off the price and a lot in corporate just prefer the drinks.
But then is it worth paying an extra 700 quid than a ST in the JM end just to access the bars and have a comfier seat?

I agree and I think it’s disgusting. I went in before the game on Saturday and there was a family of three who looked pretty destitute to be honest, in there renewing their season tickets. They were lovely with the lady serving them. Pretty hard to accept the club is raising prices to squeeze a few more ££ out of these loyal fans. I’d have loved to have seen Alan walking past!CrosspoolClarets wrote: ↑Tue Apr 16, 2024 10:56 pmBig rises at Forest, adult prices up a lot and concessions tightened like at many clubs. We still seem at the low end but football is pricing out ordinary fans more and more. Soon it will just be the fairly affluent middle classes who can afford it.

But yet you still come on the Messageboard!
The sad thing is that we've let them do it - and even now you will see disparaging comments made on here to posters questioning this "it's a business, don't like it, go elsewhere" bla bla sort of shite Tory attitude that this great nation seriously needs to leave behind.CrosspoolClarets wrote: ↑Tue Apr 16, 2024 10:56 pmBig rises at Forest, adult prices up a lot and concessions tightened like at many clubs. Just to clarify, if people are destitute it’s because of energy and food price rises, travel & accommodation costs and not being able to find an NHS dentist.NewClaret wrote: ↑Tue Apr 16, 2024 11:13 pmI agree and I think it’s disgusting. Don’t disagree with any of that, my point was really more that I don’t really see it as necessary for the club to increase those pressures on fans at an already difficult time. Not for the relatively paltry income it generates vs what we spend in wages.ClaretLoup wrote: ↑Wed Apr 17, 2024 10:54 amJust to clarify, if people are destitute it’s because of energy and food price rises, travel & accommodation costs and not being able to find an NHS dentist.
If you want chat to Alan he is usually in the Royal Dyche pre match or in the Fanzone.
No contact here either and I share your concerns. I was in the ticket office two weeks ago and was told the emails were being sent out in the following week. Nothing arrived and I went in yesterday to be told they were sent out a few weeks ago. I'm on direct debit and have received nothing confirming the new payments.nbh wrote: ↑Wed Apr 17, 2024 11:13 amI have not been contacted by the club with regards to renewing my season ticket. No e-mail, text, letter or phone call. I'm wondering if it may be because of the e-mail I sent to complain about being asked to leave the stadium while watching the on pitch celebrations, at the last game of last season. Fortunately I keep track of advice on this site and have been been monitoring my Burnley account. It appears my dd is being renewed. I hope they don't mess it up.
Is that even legal?ClaretTony wrote: ↑Wed Apr 17, 2024 11:18 amNo contact here either and I share your concerns. you need to remember its an optional thing, nobody is forcing them to pay it. if people are prioritizing football over essentials then more fool them.NewClaret wrote: ↑Tue Apr 16, 2024 11:13 pmI agree and I think it’s disgusting. I get paid on Friday and I'm hoping to renew mine then.
I'm on a tight budget now and the increase is big for me, but the even bigger increases for under-22s is horrendous. Ours are the biggest increases, percentage wise, in the Premier League so far by some considerable distance.NewClaret wrote: ↑Tue Apr 16, 2024 11:13 pmI agree and I think it’s disgusting. Don't miss out on our early bird season ticket prices.
Renew now and be part of the action at Turf Moor next season - https://dd1.io/gBydJ7m
Renewals end 19th April.
I got this text message off the club the other day.
i was replying to your comment about Bayern Munich.Big Vinny K wrote: ↑Wed Apr 17, 2024 11:55 amSo you don’t believe the ticket prices in Germany are significantly lower than the Premier League ?
I really do sympathise and am trying to be very fair with comments on this.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Wed Apr 17, 2024 11:28 amI'm on a tight budget now and the increase is big for me, but the even bigger increases for under-22s is horrendous. The quote from Bayern Munich was to illustrate how little importance in the scheme of total revenue match day income represents. It also illustrates a completely different attitude and cultural differences to how they treat their fans. Isn’t train travel free for away fans ?GetIntoEm wrote: ↑Wed Apr 17, 2024 12:21 pmi was replying to your comment about Bayern Munich.
depends how you want to interrogate the data. Most expensive match tickets (german) vs most expensive match tickets (EPL) are comparible. Where the data is skewed if looking at averages, or cheapest tickets available. Germany tend to have a cheaper cheapest ticket if you will, but its the same as Easyjet advertising 99p flights or whatever, you're unlikely to get one.
Our tickets are cheap compared to other premier league teams, and some Budesliga teams charge more than us.
if you look at the top 6 or so in the EPL, the ticket prices skew it for the rest of the teams.
its impossible to do a direct comparison, but certainly all fans in Germany are not paying £104 for a season ticket. its not all smiles and rainbows that these headline quotes make you think
No train travel isn't free for away fans, your ticket sometimes includes local transport only, but certainly not intercity or outside of the town/city.Big Vinny K wrote: ↑Wed Apr 17, 2024 12:45 pmThe quote from Bayern Munich was to illustrate how little importance in the scheme of total revenue match day income represents. Average prices of cheapest single tickets or cheapest season tickets is half (at least) in Germany than it is in EPL.
It’s nothing to do with headlines. Of course there are exceptions - just like there’s exceptions here with some of the ridiculous London club prices.
But the biggest concern about prices over here is the recent rate of increases in the last 5 or so years in the EPL. Look at the recent increases at Notts Forest for example.
Not really sure what point of view you are putting forward or trying to defend to be honest….other than the “I’m alright jack” stance.
Do you actually realise how much it is to sit in the JHU upper for a one off game this season?GetIntoEm wrote: ↑Wed Apr 17, 2024 11:50 amthe Germany analogy is over used, apart from a few standing tickets at Bayern, their ticket prices are a lot more expensive than ours. If you want a decent seat at a league game you're looking at €50 + €5 booking fee.
Season tickets are €350 upwards. You can get some cheaper standing tickets, but again short supply.
Don't believe everything you read.
Football tickets are luxury items, if i was in a position of whether i spend the money on food for the family, or going to the game then there is only one choice. Regardless of loyalty, everyone has a choice to make.
the additional hospitality packages on offer are only equivalent of what most clubs offer these days, we've been behind the times on that front for the last few years. Apart from those minimal effected rows in the JML the hospitality offering has no impact on your average supporter.
The concession discounts are still generous, altho appreciate increased from previous years, but then again similar to what you would get at any other entertainment performance.
Burnley football club is not a charity, community centre or any other type of subsidised activity, its a commercial enterprise.
pay it or not.
Its frustrating when prices increase, but theres little we can do. Everything has increased.
Sit where the kids tickets are cheaper then?CoolClaret wrote: ↑Wed Apr 17, 2024 12:54 pmDo you actually realise how much it is to sit in the JHU upper for a one off game this season?
That's Bayern effing Munich mate. The best/biggest team in Germany in one of the greatest Cities in the world - much more disposable income than Burnley ffs.
No one said Burnley is a charity - but as I've mentioned before on here, getting young Clarets on the Turf is crucial for the long term health of this club. It's easy enough for a young 'un to pick from a plethora of successful teams either in England or just the North West, getting families on the Turf and giving kids a buzz for it prevents that.
Might not matter now but in 10-20 years we need the younger fans - especially if we happen to find ourselves back as a mid table Champ team.
Whatever we charge compared to others isn’t relevant. The percentage increases for old and young are obscene.CrosspoolClarets wrote: ↑Wed Apr 17, 2024 12:22 pmI really do sympathise and am trying to be very fair with comments on this.
But when I look at Forest I see their seniors will be £375-£650 with the latter being equivalent to where you sit, i.e. fairly central good seat. Whereas we will charge £242-£360.
Then we have an under 22, under 18 and under 12 category whereas Forest is aged 17 and 13 priced at £285 and £199 which is way, way more than ours and also a big increase on last season.
Not sure if this is apples and pears and if they have a cheaper early bird, but I think these are the prices on their website.
So I do think that our prices remain way, way lower than most and also generous with the young age category definition. I don’t see the need for the rises in concessions, I don’t applaud it, but many clubs are doing worse.
You brought up the seats at bayern being €50+5 euro, so I gave a like for like comparison for one off games in the North Stand /JH Upper tier which...is again more expensive than Bayern Munich.

Some of the discussion has evolved onto why we're allowing ourselves to be absolutely shafted by the moneymen.

again, its not more expensive. An equivalent seating position at Bayern would either be €60 or €80 + €5 booking fee according to their price list.
"allowing ourselves"? what do you suggest? you could always not buy one out of protest?
Are you being deliberately stupid ?
