So that's at least 8 jolly, friendly, amusing Geordie lads in there then.

Re: Newcastle Saturday - Tickets
Think it might only be 2 that have gone.
Why on earth haven’t the club got a minimum purchase history on this game though?
Absolutely crazy in such a vital game for us. I’d rather have empty seats than geordies (who are a nice bunch, don’t get me wrong, but not what we need in a vital game).

Re: Newcastle Saturday - Tickets
An Everton win or draw at Luton on Friday night will dramatically help our chances BUT a Luton win could really put a damper on things. UTC
Re: Newcastle Saturday - Tickets
Don't know why there's no points requirement? After the trouble at the Everton game they started using a 10, 20, 30 points requirement for forthcoming home games.NewClaret wrote: ↑Mon Apr 29, 2024 12:04 pmThink it might only be 2 that have gone.

Re: Newcastle Saturday - Tickets
Me either Leisure.
I want every seat filled and the club to take as much money as possible, but not at the risk of having away fans in home ends both because of the clear risk to safety (and children having to witness unsavoury scenes - which are massively heightened in crucial games) but also because it kills the atmosphere. I’d rather they be empty than have an away fan in them. And so should the club.
I try and remain as positive as possible, but things like that I find really bad management.

Won’t it be seats that ST holders unable to attend have offered back for sale under the scheme that exists for this ?

Re: Newcastle Saturday - Tickets
I’m expecting the Jimmy Mac lower hospitality area to be full of Newcastle fans. Also seems to be more away fans then home fans in there.
The club don’t care who is in the seats, all they care about is the money. The stewards rarely do out as they are underpaid, under trained and can’t speak much english. It is perplexing why the club seem to actively encourage away fans into home areas. It is driven by greed and it risks everyones safety and effects the atmosphere.

Re: Newcastle Saturday - Tickets
On the one hand you have short term greed
On the other- you have fan safety and the difference home fans can make to the team and results
Obviously our owners choose greed every time

Re: Newcastle Saturday - Tickets
Don’t get me started on this. I’m not against away fans having a corporate option, absolutely think it’s a great way for the club to increase income in the PL, but if the want to do that, build a stand with corporate facilities for them or - do not allow blatant mixing of fans.RickyBobby wrote: ↑Thu May 02, 2024 10:52 pmI’m expecting the Jimmy Mac lower hospitality area to be full of Newcastle fans. And be explicit to everyone that away fans in home stands must behave or get thrown out. They never do.
Annoys me, particularly in these games that are massive to us to have potential crowd problems.

Re: Newcastle Saturday - Tickets
Yeah it just seems so random that they come available in batches. Just can’t imagine 17 people suddenly decided they couldn’t attend a match three days prior. If they came available in ones and twos I’d find it more understandable.

That is my problem...train fares this weekend from Sussex £129 return. So my two seats will be empty. Was hoping to drive but the wife has other ideas.watsonsclarets wrote: ↑Fri May 03, 2024 11:42 amI have got two we (me and the lad are not Geordies) we just can’t afford to travel and watch every week!!

Train fares are absolutely outrageous. I’m surprised there’s anyone on them to be honest.turfytopper wrote: ↑Fri May 03, 2024 12:01 pmThat is my problem...train fares this weekend from Sussex £129 return. So my two seats will be empty. Was hoping to drive but the wife has other ideas.

Practically all of the 100 or so seats in the Longside Lower which became available around lunchtime have now gone. Hope they haven't gone to away fans!!

Re: Newcastle Saturday - Tickets
Unfortunately I would think it's a fair bet that many if not most of them will have been snapped up by away fans. I can well see a repeat of the Everton match unfortunately. We'll see.
