We ade bookies favs to win league and back to EPL
We are 7/1 clear bookies favourites to bounce straight back up to the Premier League as Champions again next season.

I think it's right we're favourites there but will be interesting to see our odds compared to Leeds or Southampton when available.

Which outsider is going to be up there? There's usually one team that isn't expected to go up. I had a little bet on Ipswich this time but haven't a clue next season. I might have gone for Hull but I think they might have messed up sacking the manager. Bristol City might be around the top with the manager they have. I have seen them a few times this season and they looked good in most of the matches. A bit of consistency and they might do it.

Bookies always get it wrong. There is no evidence we will repeat what we achieved last season

What the bookies are saying is that with our current squad and parachute payments we have a massive advantage over other clubs and should really bounce straight back and anything less is a disaster ….I agree with them !

Is that why bookies are poor, poor men with newspaper in their shoes while the punters live off the fat of the land?LoveCurryPies wrote: ↑Thu May 16, 2024 12:17 amBookies always get it wrong. There is no evidence we will repeat what we achieved last season

The team with the highest revenue, Highest squad value, Highest wages and apparently a top pedigree manager.LoveCurryPies wrote: ↑Thu May 16, 2024 12:17 amBookies always get it wrong. There is no evidence we will repeat what we achieved last season
Yep I’m shocked they have us as clear favourites

A top pedigree manager who made so many mistakes this season.Newcastleclaret93 wrote: ↑Thu May 16, 2024 6:36 amThe team with the highest revenue, Highest squad value, Highest wages and apparently a top pedigree manager.

A manager who in the same division this thread is referencing, finished top with 101 points.

We've only lost 4 of the last 347 Championship games we've played.

Hope we are in the mix for a quick return. But have a feeling it won't be the 'romp' some seem to think it'll be.

Re: We ade bookies favs to win league and back to EPL
Leicester were clear favourites to win this season’s Championship and Stockport and Wrexham were the first two in the betting to win League Two and they finished first and second.
And Manchester City and Arsenal were first and second favourites to win the Premier League. Chesterfield were also a short priced favourite to win the National League and did so in a canter.
The only League winners who were not pre season favourites were Portsmouth in League One who were 4th favourites at 9/1. In fact the 5 shortest priced clubs pre season to win League One ended up finishing in the top 6. So I would say that this season the bookies got almost everything right (for once).

Really? Makes one wonder how they stay in business.
