Are you just sick of me being right all the time? Just because I’m a realist doesn’t mean I’m negative.ClaretAL wrote: ↑Tue May 21, 2024 8:44 pmI have read your posts since the club took a downturn following better performances, and suddenly you become more active, most of which being your usual negative approach to the club. Why don’t you keep to a message board you actually support rather then this one where you don’t have a right word for ?
I’m just don’t fall for all the PR bullshit that gets pedalled. The likes of Newclaret and RV eat all of that stuff up.
Why do people keep saying our better spells etc…. We had 5 or 6 games we weren’t totally useless. We have been crap all season including this so called good spell

An assistant with no experience? That would be a good idea!Raconteur wrote: ↑Tue May 21, 2024 9:00 pmFrom what i have been told from someone close to the club is that Pace looking to bring in another assistant to help out is true. They also told me that Pace wasn't looking for an older head and experience but another name. The name was Ashley Cole as mentioned in the original tweet.
Re: Sacha Tovolieri - From the Beehole End
This has the makings of a **** show of a summer, the consequences of which could be felt for a long, long time.
It’s to be hoped that Pace is more astute than some of the comments on this thread are suggesting.
Losing Kompany now (despite a really poor season) would make for an even bigger job than the one he undertook in the summer of 2022.
Do I have faith in Pace and his team to find the right man for the task? Despite him bringing Kompany in, I have serious doubts.
Do we have the wherewithal to unpick and restart our scouting and recruitment in the space of a few months? How wedded to Kompany and MUD are we!?
Do we have the saleable assets and indeed suitors to allow us to manage the debt whilst providing a new manager with the funds to put together a squad capable of promotion!?

Re: Sacha Tovolieri - From the Beehole End
I can forgive Kompany if he got the Bayern call out of the blue. It's an opportunity too big to pass up.
If he was plotting his exit during our relegation battle and will jump ship for any bigger opportunity as Sacha is claiming, that's different and makes Kompany out to be a bit of a snake. And I don't think he is.

What a circus.
We've got the Chairman of the club engaging in childish social media posts with a third-rate journalist, he then has a private chat with him to supposedly clear the air, meanwhile said third-rate journalist is telling all and sundry about their conversation, and no doubt embellishing everything.
So glad the club is in such safe hands. Bunch of plonkers.

Criticising Kompany for things that are demonstrably true (our performance) is one thing. Having a pop at him based on something a rumour peddler on twitter has said is quite another.

He didn't say we wanted Robins as an assistant,
What he said - to paraphrase was - that when he reported we were looking at options (Robins/Ashley Cole etc) he thought it was for in case VK left.
But he now has been told the club were looking for a coach to come in to help VK.

I maintain that is the oddest bit of the entire interview.

How strange that he should report we were looking at Robins then when it turns out were supposedly looking for an assistant coach. Presumably he just made it up.forzagranata wrote: ↑Tue May 21, 2024 9:46 pmHe didn't say we wanted Robins as an assistant,

I enjoy listening to this podcast and look forward to the new episodes coming out. However, I think I’ll give this one a swerve after reading this thread and following what Sacha has been saying on Twitter/X. Sounds like he’s had too many e numbers and has got a bit giddy.

It's weird how these transfer rumour guys get so much airtime, people hanging off their every tweet. Cool mate, you heard about something that may or may not happen before most other people. Fair play to them for making a career of it but they're about as much use to the sport as agents.

Yesterday and today one of the Twitter guys from Germany posted an update on Kompany to Bayern, and within a few minutes it was copied and pasted on to here.
Some people must live on these guys’ Twitter feeds desperate to find out some news.

Can't say I really know who this bloke is so I googled him. Most of the first lot of hits just seemed to be him getting stuff wrong (Lavia and Alonso to Liverpool, Arnaut Danjuma to Lyon in the first few).

The story wasn't even an exclusive from Sacha. So it's not like he made it up. He obviously read the story like a lot of us, he then put the info in a tweet and then got told off by Pace.

Two problems with this:
1) As noted above, your hypocrisy is beyond belief after your relentless, extreme, toxic and shitty criticism of Dyche
2) Best not to generalise about our fan base based on what's said on this messageboard or on social media. I would say a better measure is the tone from fans who attend the games - on the whole, they have been patient and supportive despite a very difficult and frustrating season.

Re: Sacha Tovolieri - From the Beehole End
I know the podcast consists of journalists so for them to believe Sacha makes sense. As Justin said; "he hasn't plucked this out of thin air.." . However I can't help but think all the guy is doing is embellishing the truth.
Ford was much more believable and realistic. This doesn't seem anything more than someone close to Kompany who knows someone at Bayern touting him as an option. Even if Kompany talked to someone he knows at Bayerm it means precious little unless a deal is offered.
I miss the days of proper rumors rather than rumors of rumors based on speculation. I can't believe none of the podcast were sitting there thinking he wasn't making stuff up as he goes because it seemed pretty clear to me he was lying.
Anyway, if he does leave it's not a huge deal IMO. We are much more suited to a Dyche like manager anyway if we want long term stability. Not necessarily down to his football but more because he's not a fashionable name that'll leave easily in the future. Kompany will always look at leaving to a bigger club ASAP.

If Sacha was approached to go on and he said yes you would have to imagine he was delighted to find a gullible host who would give him airtime.
If Sacha approached them, then the fact this took place is even more daft.

Buddy, no point dealing in facts with some folk, what most of them know is made up or quotes from so called football pundits! As for some of the rumours on the internet it’s just laughable but some people think anything that is said on the internet is gospel. Sky sports are the worst, any of their pages have links or adverts for their betting sites.AGENT_CLARET wrote: ↑Wed May 22, 2024 8:56 amThe guy who brought Vincent Kompany in who brought our best season for over 60 year's and delivered us a title on the ground of our nearest rival that Alan Pace....... Stats wise this is our worst season ever.
From what I can tell even in that 86-87 season they had more than twice as many wins as we did this season.
