Re: Leeds v Southampton
I wonder if Sam Vokes is there? I recall seeing him pictured in with Saints fans at some big game they had when he was still at Burnley.
Re: Leeds v Southampton
Are they that good? Gray has obviously got big potential but never got the hype over Summerville and Gnonto at all.

Re: Leeds v Southampton
Yellow for THB, fk for Leeds, doing better this half.
Re: Leeds v Southampton
Cheers.
Frank Gray was a very good defender.

Re: Leeds v Southampton
Good to see a foul throw being penalised, too often ignored
Re: Leeds v Southampton
Summerville was ripping defences apart for most of the season. Gnonto is raw but young enough to learn. Commentators never shut up about Gray and how good he is. Premier teams are definitely watching him.

Re: Leeds v Southampton
They also said that Archie Gray’s younger brother is a winger in the academy. And great uncle Eddie wasn’t a bad player was he?

First time I've seen Gray and he's been poor.
Re: Leeds v Southampton
Gray is a midfielder who has been put at right back and is keeping Roberts out of the team.

Could beat the odd defender on his day. Never tracked back though.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Sun May 26, 2024 4:20 pmThey also said that Archie Gray’s younger brother is a winger in the academy. And great uncle Eddie wasn’t a bad player was he?

Although Leeds have this reputation as dirty Leeds .. Eddie Gray never got booked in his careerClaretTony wrote: ↑Sun May 26, 2024 4:20 pmThey also said that Archie Gray’s younger brother is a winger in the academy. And great uncle Eddie wasn’t a bad player was he?

Even in the days when bookings were more rare, that’s still some record given who he played for.Carlos the Great wrote: ↑Sun May 26, 2024 4:28 pmAlthough Leeds have this reputation as dirty Leeds .. Eddie Grey never got booked in his career

Re: Leeds v Southampton
I loathed that Revie side.
The did have some top players though.
Eddie was one of them.
The Beeb always used to air that old one of him ripping us apart.

Nerve wracking is this. I'm getting 2nd hand Southampton fan anxiety in my gut.

Re: Leeds v Southampton
Summerville hooked, Walker-Peters has handled him magnificently. MoM for me, if result stays the same.

Anything can happen here at only 1 nil /. Wouldn’t surprise me if Roberts scored in the slightest

Re: Leeds v Southampton
Leeds hit the bar.
Re: Leeds v Southampton
It’s weird - I get the nerves and I’ve zero skin in the game! Well apart from the quandary that I want Leeds to win as I’d rather face Southampton, next season. I feel dirty even saying that.
Re: Leeds v Southampton
I still have nightmares about going to the game at Elland Road in April 1970. Leeds played quite a few reserves but Eddie was in the team & scored 2 absolutely brilliant goals in a 2-1 win for DL.

Re: Leeds v Southampton
Soton defended really well. Leeds ran out of ideas and steam 10 minutes into each half. Very tense game.

Russell Martin certainly seems to have Farkes number. 3 games, 3 wins.

Re: Leeds v Southampton
Deserved win. Defended very well. Leeds looked a bit aimless. Roberts looked all over the place when he came on.
Re: Leeds v Southampton
Well done to Southampton....a great feeling, as we all know.
