I can't get remotely excited by anything Real Madrid, Mbappe joins in Monday, they'll probably win the next 6 Champions Leagues

That was a bizarre moment from Maatsen, and reminded me so much of Burnley this season. You can take the lad out of Burnley...

Pep must laugh his b0llocks off.. Done a real job on the collective psyche of football.

Somehow managed to create a narrative that if you don't play out you're a dinosaur, despite god knows how many massive mistakes happen in key moments at the wrong end of the pitch.

I beg we cut some of that out going forward. It's bloody awful to watch...

Though I feel for Ian, he'll feel like sh1t for that for weeks.

Dortmund turned in a full Burnley performance tonight.

Lots of the ball first half. Tick.
Create 3 or 4 good chances. Tick.
Miss them all. Tick.
Concede from a set piece.Tick.
Horrendous error. Tick.

To me it looked like he had a massive adrenaline dump. Was miles off it for the first 15 minutes or so but yeah, think that's a level too far for Ian, sadly.

Still a wonderfully gifted player - hope he kicks on.

Lol Maatsen has lost Dortmund the game.
Really don't see what's funny.

For the record, I'm not in the hindsight camp saying we should have bust the bank on a FB.

I don't think he would have kept us up.

However, the bloke has had a first-class season in Germany and played in a CL Final.

All players make mistakes. It's cruel on him and I'm just glad it wasn't for the decisive goal.

Taking the rise out of him is crass.

Gutted for Dortmund.

Managed to watch from inside the ground for most of it and their fans were unreal. I’ve never heard noise like it.

Was positioned with the Madrid fans, and they came across as very entitled. Didn’t create much noise, and coming out of the stadium there’s no real celebration or joy on display.

Vinicius Jr should have got a second yellow for a blatant dive, the Dortmund player didn't get anywhere near him but still got a yellow, by the look of it for telling the ref it was a blatant dive.
To be fair, he shouldn't have got the first booking for the blatant fake injury by the goalkeeper.

How did you work that out?
RM were already winning, and the Germans wouldn't have scored if they'd
played all night.

Easy with hindsight isn't it but maatsens silly mistake put the game beyond Dortmunds reach, it was game over then.
