A quick Google should tell you all you need to know, I was there last month (and went onto Cordoba) and was very surprised at how reasonably priced the restaurants are.

Lovely city. Loads of restaurants around the Cathedral area.
Google, “10 things to do in…….”. Will be quicker than me giving you a list.

We went to Seville and Cordoba a couple of years ago. Both were well worth visiting, especially the mosque-cathedral in Cordoba.
Seville is home to Real Betis as well as Seville, so a fair chance of a game being on if you visit during the season. I did the tour of the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan Stadium, Seville's ground.
I made a couple of short video's of the two places which may give you an idea of things to see.

I think you'll find enough to do in both, have a good time.

I know Sevilla very well.
Must do:
tapas and ice-cold sherry
Alcazar (buy tickets online)
Cathedral & giralda
If you have a car, my fave is Italica, Roman ruins outside Seville with complete amphitheatre
and free to get in
Scores of bars & restaurants, most v reasonably priced.

BUT - be warned, like Cordoba it can be searingly baking hot in July/August. 40C is not uncommon. Best time to visit is Easter or September.
Hope you have a great time, I love it.

I’ve been there several times as I have family from there. Near the old town is the best place to stay as everything is close by. I’ve stayed a couple of times further out next to the Real Betis stadium at https://www.hoteles-silken.com/en/hotel ... e/gallery/. It’s a lot cheaper usually and has a good outdoor pool. It’s about 10 mins in a taxi to the old town. Plenty of hotels in the old town itself.

It is hot in Seville, but the streets are generally narrow and there’s always shade to walk in

Cheapest time to visit is July and August when many of the locals go to the coast and businesses shut - so more hotel rooms = cheaper.

I live less than 2 hours away, don’t go before Oct, it’s the hottest place in Europe, you can fly to Jerez . Trip advisor has most of the best things to see but go early or late to beat the long lines. Do a tapas tour at night, great vibe & experience, try the Hercules area for a good night out, great restaurants & bars with mixed ages. Very safe city but like every where watch for pick pockets & don’t leave bags etc lying around.

Here at the moment. Wonderfully beautiful city. Got lucky with the weather as it's only 25 degrees. Next week is up to 40 but we are in Portugal then.

Lovely little streets in old Town. Hundreds of great places to eat and drink. Some unbelievably cheap.

Had dinner here last night. https://9musassevilla.com/
Would NOT recommend. Such a shame when many other amazing places around...

The citybus is a good tour and way to orientate yourself. Italica nearby is an amazing Roman site, you can wander round it for a few hours and the restaurant over the road from it was very nice when I visited a few years back.

In case you are a Game of Thrones fan the amphitheatre at Italica was used as the set the well of dragons.

Can anyone give advice about the trains?
Looking at going to Cadiz from Saville for the friendly. Do I need to pre book trains or can I just turn up?

Pre book. Even the trains in the middle of the day get sold out and there's always a queue at the station in Seville. You often can't get a ticket for the very next train if you just rock up.

Club have advised don’t book anything until venue announced.

We booked it thinking if the match is nowhere near Seville, we'll just have a couple of days of culture, sunshine and tapas.
Another poster said they think it will be played in Estepona which I don't think would be doable for us

Don't go in summer.

The Moorish architecture is sublime. It is difficult to believe you're in Europe and it really worth visiting.
