New Ticket Scheme
New Ticket Scheme
Any ody just had the email?
Am I reading it right....
Pay £150 for platinum and you can purchase away tickets before they even go on sale?
So loyalty is out of the window, we could have in theory 2k fans without a season ticket who purchased platinum and get away tickets before season ticket holders?

They’ve rebranded it. I’m convinced this is how away tickets were getting into the wrong hands last seasonbumba wrote: ↑Wed Jul 03, 2024 4:16 pmAny ody just had the email?

They are not bothered about supporters or loyalty, just getting as much money from people as they can.

Re: New Ticket Scheme
Just 10 % will be available prior to season ticket holders. Can’t really see the demand this season if I’m being honest apart from potentially Luton for the first game.bumba wrote: ↑Wed Jul 03, 2024 4:16 pmAny ody just had the email?

So no one will want to go to Ewood or Elland Road?

Correct - new tick. Forgot that one!
Re: New Ticket Scheme
Hopefully we’ll get a decent allocation at Ewood this year and Leeds will give us upto 2,500 to 3,000 if demand is there. However, lunchtime televised kick off and Leeds sky high prices will put a lot off.

Re: New Ticket Scheme
I would still expect us to sell out, and potentially non season ticket holders getting first dibs seems unfair.
Re: New Ticket Scheme
Can't see there being as much tourist interest this season as last hopefully, Arsenal away was a joke.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Wed Jul 03, 2024 4:18 pmThey’ve rebranded it. I’m convinced this is how away tickets were getting into the wrong hands last season

A season ticket holder should have priority over anybody else.

A decent start to the campaign and I hope you are right. There’s been a few times where we haven’t sold the full allocation at Leeds though.fidelcastro wrote: ↑Wed Jul 03, 2024 4:26 pmI would still expect us to sell out, and potentially non season ticket holders getting first dibs seems unfair.

Re: New Ticket Scheme
The prices at Leeds are only sky high if the visiting club don’t play ball and don’t agree a reciprocal deal
Re: New Ticket Scheme
Hopefully we do then. Didn’t we advertise the fact that we tried to do with all teams last time we were in the Championship?ClaretTony wrote: ↑Wed Jul 03, 2024 4:36 pmThe prices at Leeds are only sky high if the visiting club don’t play ball and don’t agree a reciprocal deal

Re: New Ticket Scheme
Reading were the first to do that. They’d been charging all away fans £20 but then their fans were paying more at away grounds so they said they would continue the £20 if the other club reciprocated. We were one of the clubs that didn’t.

I don't suppose the email mentioned if we will be doing the cheaper away ticket deal again?
Or when home ticket prices will be released?

Re: New Ticket Scheme
Fairly certain that last season it cost £250 and it was just a 5% allocation of away tickets.

Re: New Ticket Scheme
"This scheme will not significantly affect the current loyalty points system. Those supporters who have built up loyalty points over previous seasons will retain their points and still have access to up to 90% of the tickets available for away fixtures, depending on how many points you have."
Does this mean that 10% of the away tickets normally available for season ticket holders are being diverted to the new scheme?

Re: New Ticket Scheme
So ST holders can buy for friends etc.. before a normal fan can?
And some thought, people with money being able to buy 10% of away tickets first was bad?

When home matches (I presume all) go on sale. There is a full article on the official site if you didn’t get the email.

Re: New Ticket Scheme
It’s not right is it? Not sure at all why a season ticket holder should have a priority for home tickets when they’ve got one with their season ticket in the first place.Quickenthetempo wrote: ↑Wed Jul 03, 2024 5:17 pmHome ticket priority.

Re: New Ticket Scheme
I paid the £250 last season and received absolutely no card, discount, points or communication whatsoever from the club. However, I was able to buy home tickets and away tickets before the first season ticket priority period, which of course was the point. From looking at the seat maps when buying away tickets last season, I would say there were less than 100 seats sold to premier members, in addition to the 70-ish seats that were always blocked out in advance, which I assume were for supporter groups? And don't forget, if you buy your tickets early you are usually in the worst block!
Re: New Ticket Scheme
I can't see that it says anywhere just how many away can be purchased? Think it was 2 last season.

In reality I think we’re talking about one or two away games maximum and probably no home games. Ticket availability will be fine next year.

Re: New Ticket Scheme
Don't really understand why season ticket holders get priority on buying more home tickets.
With the likely cost and amount of TV games as a walk on you'd be starting to think is it worth bothering? Unless we're ripping the league up again.

Re: New Ticket Scheme
The email states “we understand the passion and loyalty of our fans” if that’s so? Then surely loyalty points should come into it. Where you can only sign up with xxx amount of LOYALTY points. Not with what seems like Paces preferred loyalty points, 150 of the £ variety.
Re: New Ticket Scheme
If you don't get emails you need to check your settings. You might have ticked the no box for mail. I wasn't getting them but I have checked my junk and there they are.
Re: New Ticket Scheme
Is it me, but if you buy the gold package and you have access to away tickets on Day 3 of sales, why does the example show you having access on Day 5?
Also, on the email link I got it states that Home priority for gold will be Tuesday 9th July but on the link to the website it states Wednesday 10th July.
Seems a right royal mess if you ask me. Likewise I did the membership last year and didn't receive a card until half way through the season, so I couldn't receive any discounts, as prior to receiving the card the club shop had no record of memberships.
Like last year you end up having more questions than answers and you would think the initial communication on this would be clear and not contradictory

Thing is how do you measure loyalty?!?
The retired chap who can get to the 19/23 away games and attends 100% of what he can or the the working chap who works weekends and can get to 2 away games a season and attends 100% what he can.

This is just what I found when I had looked previously (obviously, the question is whether their home demand will increase significantly with promotion to mean that this doesn't happen anymore....unsure on that):claretonthecoast1882 wrote: ↑Thu Jul 04, 2024 9:19 amBe amazed if we did. Away fans are normally housed on one side of the North Stand, towards the open end of the ground. This stand may be shared with home supporters, or if demand requires it, then the whole of this stand can be allocated providing just over 5,000 seats in total.
