Cadiz v Burnley Sun 4th August
Re: Cadiz v Burnley Sun 4th August
Going to be 34 degrees at kick off tomorrow according to forecasts. Looks a bizarre place to play a final prep match, surely you want to replicate match conditions at Luton as much as possible? Leeds playing Valencia at home today with a packed Elland Road. Makes a bit more sense, at least to me.

Re: Cadiz v Burnley Sun 4th August
They’ve got a whole week back home before the first game.
They’ll be lots of subs tomorrow. Looks like it’s been a great camp so far.

Re: Cadiz v Burnley Sun 4th August
Agree with the camp. Just mean in terms of match readiness. Although tbf under VK we played in the Portuguese heat the week before Huddersfield across 2 pitches against Newcastle, so probably doesn’t matter!helmclaret wrote: ↑Sat Aug 03, 2024 4:04 pmThey’ve got a whole week back home before the first game.

Re: Cadiz v Burnley Sun 4th August
tbf if the atmosphere in the camp was as low as implied last season, the week away and happy spirits will do them the world of good, particularly the newbies last season who haven’t known the happy times.
That, and fitness, feel like the two vitally urgent attributes. Tactics and replicating EFL challenges will come. The league won’t be won in August.

Cheers. Intrigued as to the opening 11 in that case as you'd imagine that won't be far off the intended starting line up for Luton.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Sat Aug 03, 2024 4:57 pmIt will be - can't imagine they will play one less than a week before kick off

There's a two day flamenco festival this weekend for anyone staying in the town. It's towards St. Peters and St. Maria churches in the old town. Seen a few shirts knocking around.

Re: Cadiz v Burnley Sun 4th August
Team ?
Hladky
Roberts O’Shea Beyer Pires
Koleosho Brownhill Beyer Odobert
Foster Amdouni
Could be wrong on all 11 We have a rediculous squad which will clearly change by the end of this month. Wishful thinking but is there a feed for the game

The squad's so small we have to name Beyer twice

If there are any twitchers going the good news is the north / south migration from Europe to Africa has started & your likely to see 1,000’s of raptors/ vultures etc.

I personally think Cullen, Captain Josh, will be in every team from now until the end of the season
I’m an admittedly basing this partly on the fact that he looks like the Cardigan wearing type

Might be a silly question this but is there a way of streaming it on your tv like you can with YouTube?

The only way I can do it is by watching Clarets + on my phone and screen mirroring it onto my tv.gandhisflipflop wrote: ↑Sun Aug 04, 2024 12:35 pmMight be a silly question this but is there a way of streaming it on your tv like you can with YouTube?
Re: Cadiz v Burnley Sun 4th August
You'd think for events such as this they'd stream it on youtube through the club account, makes it easier for everyone. Especially as it is free anyway

I’m on iPhone so that wouldn’t work to my tv unfortunately. I may have to login on my laptop and run a hdmi cable to the tv.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Sun Aug 04, 2024 3:03 pmThe only way I can do it is by watching Clarets + on my phone and screen mirroring it onto my tv.

Re: Cadiz v Burnley Sun 4th August
I can get on Clarets+ on my laptop but not on my tablet. On there it shows KO as 18:30 but I'm fairly sure that that's Spanish time and it's 17:30 our time.

Clarets have taken over a pub/bar at the top of the hill as close to the ground as possible. Flags up outside. Anyone know the name?

Re: Cadiz v Burnley Sun 4th August
Running a HDMI cable to the TV doesn't work, at least it didn't for me in the 22/23 promotion season, there is some sort of block stopping it, similar if you tried playing SkyGo on a laptop and used HMDI for TV, I just get a blue screen.gandhisflipflop wrote: ↑Sun Aug 04, 2024 3:15 pmI’m on iPhone so that wouldn’t work to my tv unfortunately. Re: Cadiz v Burnley Sun 4th August
I’m not seeing anything listed about the game stream on Clarets+ on my iPad yet. Probably be a last minute thing just before kick off, but is anyone else seeing it listed?
Re: Cadiz v Burnley Sun 4th August
Possibly if we have players with knocks, returning to full fitness or just returning to the squad eg. Amdouni.Newcastleclaret93 wrote: ↑Sun Aug 04, 2024 4:26 pmGot to imagine that’s close to our starting eleven next week
Re: Cadiz v Burnley Sun 4th August
Can’t be far off. Berge and JBG not been in full training. Amdouni only just returned.Newcastleclaret93 wrote: ↑Sun Aug 04, 2024 4:26 pmGot to imagine that’s close to our starting eleven next week
Roberts played left back in the last friendly so interesting to see where he plays here. And whether it’s Zaroury or Odobert with/behind Foster.
Re: Cadiz v Burnley Sun 4th August
Yes it’s listed and has been for a while.maidenover wrote: ↑Sun Aug 04, 2024 4:28 pmI’m not seeing anything listed about the game stream on Clarets+ on my iPad yet. Probably be a last minute thing just before kick off, but is anyone else seeing it listed?

Re: Cadiz v Burnley Sun 4th August
Just guessing but my imagine it’s something like below
Hdlacky
Roberts, O’Shea, Esteve, Vitinho
Cullen, Brownhill
Koleosho, Odobert, Zaroury
Foster
If I’m honest that’s a side that should be winning the league this year
Re: Cadiz v Burnley Sun 4th August
Question mark would be if there is enough goals in the front players.Newcastleclaret93 wrote: ↑Sun Aug 04, 2024 4:31 pmJust guessing but my imagine it’s something like below

Koleosho had plenty of question marks over his end product even before his injury, Odobert you would hope would kick on and Anas rekindle his previous champ form. Foster we’d need to be appearing consistently and have overcome his challenges.
So whilst clearly talent there would still be a lot of question marks.
Leeds for example yesterday had Piroe and Bamford on the bench who have scored goals at this level over more than one season (even if Bamford is ridiculed for some misses and his character). Think we have plenty of growth to do.
