Scott Parker

Post by ecc » Mon Aug 12, 2024 10:23 pm

Not heard one person in football, including fans of many clubs, have a good word to say for SP since he joined us.

It may well end in tears - as often in football nay as nearly always in football - but I'm really glad for him and, thus us, after tonight's result and overall performance.

The man's only had a month at the club and has had to deal with all sorts of situations - and it's not finished - but he's certainly made a fine start and seems to have given everybody a clean slate.

He has shut a lot of folk up (me included) ...

If this carries on he will have more Kudos than the Belgian Judas did 15 months ago by Christmas 😉

What do u mean nobody had a good word to say about him.
On contrary I’ve not heard anyone say a bad word against him. I thrilled for him. Fair play to him and I wish him and Burnley lots of success together.

When have Bournemouth or Fulham fans ever had a scooby?

He's done a tremendous job in a short amount of time to foster that sort of togetherness and long may it continue.

Thought his interview after the game tonight was really excellent. Spoke with enthusiasm and positivity but also realism about the challenges ahead and generally just spoke really plainly and openly with a lot of sense.

Totally agree, very down to earth about what lies ahead.

I played golf with a couple of guys from Newcastle on Sunday in scotlad and 1 of them used to supply SP with a specialist foot cream for issues he had when he was at Newcastle.

The guy couldn't praise him enough. Said SP is an absolute Gent. And the nicest person he had met from the footballing community (he was working in the game)

Great start but with this squad we should be trouncing most teams. The real test will come when we hopefully get promoted.

Some of our players looked disillusioned last season. Our squad is far too bloated. Scott deserves a lot of credit getting that result and performance tonight.

I'm intrigued as to what this specialist foot potion was. Sounds like something off the dark web.
