A strange game to mark this one, Cardiff were in the ascendancy for first half hour, and looking back on the highlights should have been 2 nil up. Parker acknowledged Cardiff's pressure and their chances in the radio interview after the game. But the team grew into the game, and scored the goals at the key times and were clinical as well. Nice to see our subs coming on to change the game and score their goals which were well taken. So there is more to come from this side, it's not the finished article by any means but the bar has well and truly been set now.

Weird things about today:
— how bad the Championship refs are
The bad news for you is that Salibury is in the elite group.
He's a PL ref even though he doesn't know the rules or implement them correctly.
(Remember the Man U / Wolves Onana incident - that was him. One of many last season)

Funny old game. We were sloppy in the first half, but had control in the second. I don’t think the game was helped by a ref that blew the whistle for everything. Performance levels can be better, and I didn’t agree with the starting XI, but this is a new manager, some new lads in the team, new system, second game of the season, and we’ve still put 5 in! Great start.
A good point how much did the referee contribute to our poor performance. I've never seen such a picky referee, and it was hard to get any kind of flow when he stopped the game every minute for such soft/non fouls.
There were others as well, such as Koleosho's first touch, but he didn't help.

Unfortunately I missed the last 15 minutes, but 4 players must have been absolutely shocking at the end to merit the 4’s and 5’s the KRBFC gave them
And then he wonders why people have a pop at him/her.
Ridiculous markings, my guess is he/she wasn't even at the match.

We could have been better first half, but another highly effective show from us. And well done SP.

From tv
Hladeky 7 not a lot to do
Roberts 7 steady away
OShea 8 strong
Esteve 8 strong and classy
Pires 7 erratic but he's got massive potential
Vitihno 8 why do some on here want him at full back
Cullen 7 on his own in first half, he needs Berge alongside
Brownhill 9 mom, he was everywhere, plus one for great goal
Koleosho 7 still lacking a final ball
Jayrod 7 some nice cameo touches, plus one for second goal assist
Foster 7 he makes the opponents centre backs earn their pay packets, great hold up and link up play
We were overun in midfield in the first half with Cullen being isolated. In the second half Brownhill dropped back more and Vito and Koleosho tucked in more to support midfield. I would bring Berge back in (if he stays) to replace Jayrod in this set up.
Overall another very good performance: Cardiff ran themselves silly in the first half, in the second half they were chasing shadows and couldn't handle our movement. Well done Scott Parker.
