Yes but you'll pay a loan fee as well which limits the year one advantage so my instinct is there's more going on than that.

Not sure it would go into next financial year, isn’t the football financial year 1st August to 31st July, wouldn’t the obligations hit on the 1st July when new player contract years start

Exactly. A big loan fee means they get a large sum in 1st year, probably more than a normal transfer

Seems to me like there is an awful lot of toxic posters on here - if you can't say anything positive please shut up! You all know who you are and it's getting beyond embarrassing. I know it's a discussion about possible transfers but the same posters post the same negatives all the time and frankly they just look dull, antagonistic and downright hostile to me.

Some of them are trolls just on to wind up and some have no idea. There is a post just above blaming Pace for incomings as though he is the only person involved in a very complicated process. 2 or more clubs, 2 managers, an agent and a player. It all has to align, not all of them just bow to our desires.

Burnley, from the English 2nd division, made a loan offer to Grêmio for 19-year-old Nathan Fernandes.

The English club did not propose any value for the loan, but rather a mandatory purchase clause if the Grêmio striker played 50% of the season's games. The values, in this case, would be 10 million euros + bonus.

The Grêmio leadership has already rejected the proposal.

I really don’t see any point in this. Ok, the lad has played one senior game for Gremio, but he has nothing that our own Vernon Masara hasn’t got.
