Seems you fell into the same trap as Alan Pace then.

I don't think Mike Tresor's move to Nice will go ahead. Remember, he's very injured and very poorly.
Re: Summer 2024 Transfer Window Discussion - Rumours and Links welcome
Whittaker training with Plymouth today according to their local press. Suggestion on Burnley Twitter the image of a player earlier was Jamal Lewis, as part of a deal with Trafford. Lewis was rated as absolutely sh**e by Watford fans I know last season.

Appreciate the update guys, so no Sarmiento confirmation as of yet? Keep seeing posts he's in but nothing to confirm - al very confusing but rather exciting.
We are getting another new team but like chelski with their managers

Could be triple announcement - Sarimento, Laurent and Lewis
Re: Summer 2024 Transfer Window Discussion - Rumours and Links welcome
Are they going to line them all up like bowling skittles in the next announcement video?

Watford have a different 11 each week how can anyone assess their players worth or otherwise. That said Cleverly has all the potential to be a good manager as he was a shite player and they usually succeed as managers.
Re: Summer 2024 Transfer Window Discussion - Rumours and Links welcome
If it is Lewis, surely that only gets announced if Trafford goes the other way?

Great subs to have off the bench when everyone is fit or to rotate

How are B@stards signing so many players. Where have they suddenly got the money from for all these high wages?

It would throw us as well, trying to cobble a team from a bunch of strangers in the building for less than a week, would be really stupid, a d an act of desperation.TheFamilyCat wrote: ↑Fri Aug 30, 2024 11:32 amI reckon announcing three new signings, all eligible to play tomorrow, an hour before kick off would really throw the bastards.

Standard Burnley this, holding the Sarmiento and Laurent announcements to soften to blow of not get another winger, striker or number 10 over the line today.

Proceeds from the Szmodics sale?
Or maybe Mrs Desai has sent a carrier pigeon over Deadwood with a few rupees?

If you come down to the Buffet late you can’t expect to get the pick of the dishes.
Just the leftovers (or left backs).

Don’t see the point of Lewis when Humphreys can play there more than competently and we also have Pires.
Unless….we expect to need to be playing Humphreys at left centre back.

In which case we already have Delcroix. Why do we need 3 Left footed centre halves.jedi_master wrote: ↑Fri Aug 30, 2024 12:54 pmDon’t see the point of Lewis when Humphreys can play there more than competently and we also have Pires.

It is ok Plymouth not wanting to sell but Whittaker has said he wants to better himself and go as high as he can. Playing with better players will make him a better player. They would just be holding him back if they stopped him.

Sarmiento and Laurent are done, their announcements are being held up until the club see if they get anything else done.
If anything was close they would be announce, the announcements are all about eyes on the club
No chance Whittaker comes today

No it hasn’t. It’s been a WINDOW like all others. You have good news days and bad news days. Totally dependant on whether you like or dislike the player, irrelevant of which direction he is moving. This is life as a football supporter.Swizzlestick wrote: ↑Fri Aug 30, 2024 11:42 amAn apology to who?
It's still been an absolute mess of a window, regardless of what happens in the next 12 hours or so.

Can’t see Orban coming here .
Jamal Lewis was decent at Norwich, maybe lost his way a bit.
Lotombe, know nothing about him but we already have 2 right full backs.
Whittaker, would be great.
Kabbal, are we really in for him?
Anyone else I’ve missed?

It's not been a normal window but....
it's been a bit too dramatic
I think when Koleosho and Cullen was out against Sunderland and we played so poorly ..... it spiraled
Had they played and we got a result .... it wouldn't have been like this
