Partizan v Red Star
Known locally as the Večiti derbi, the eternal derby game 174 is just about to kick off. I’m in Belgrade but don’t have tickets so I’m watching at home with family, my uncle and nephew are at the game and are confident of a Red Star win, I’m a bit more cynical when it comes to football and have lumped £20 on the draw. If anyone is interested and wants a link I’m happy to provide. Moja Zvezda Crvena, my star is red.

Ndiaye puts Red Star 1-0 up from the spot on 24 minutes. Get in.
Re: Partizan v Red Star
Hi Wo Didi,
Do you have Serbian family?
Capacity at Partizan Stadium is only 32,000 and perhaps less for the derby.

Re: Partizan v Red Star
Hi ecc
Yes my mum is from Serbia, from Belgrade. My Claret mad dad died unexpectedly in April and apart from my brother who's lived in Taiwan since 2003 all of my family are Serbian, I don't have any English relatives. I've been spending most of my time in Serbia since my dad died it's hit me really hard and being in England was too tough I needed to be around family and I have a lot here, uncles, cousins, nephews etc. My mum and dad split up when I was about 14 and my mum came back to Serbia fairly quickly afterwards, the split wasn't her fault and she found it tough.

Re: Partizan v Red Star
2-0 Just before half time, that should really be that now. I promised my nephew I'd treat him to a Red Star jacket if they won, looks like my wallet is going to be £50 lighter. Being a generous uncle is an expensive thing when it comes to football merchandise these days

Re: Partizan v Red Star
I didn't realise it was that big. Looks a lot smaller from what I remember. I went when they played United a few years ago.

It's always good to hear about other Clarets trips to Belgrade, was that a Europa league game? I can't remember it. Did you have a good trip?

Ndiaye with his second and Red Star's third, 3-0 and that will be that. There's some beers with my name on them tonight.

Tries again… previous post disappeared without explanation as sometimes happens on here by the overworked and highly stressed mods… whilst removing the sentence that on reflection may upset absolutely NO-ONE who has any business on here… (presumably I’ll get a PM explaining my error?)
So what’s the supporting criteria?
Easy here in east Lancashire… you love Burnley, you have taste, you have character, you are a quality individual and you know your football.
Support them down the road…
You are a *******, you are a muppet, you smell, you have teeth like a zulus necklace, and you have an unhealthy fascination with all things equine.
What’s the crack in Belgrade?

Two posts disappeared, Wo Didi.
You're welcome.
I spent a week in Beograd last year. I stayed in accommodation miles out in the suburbs in Mirijevo.

Re: Partizan v Red Star
Fair enough… it’s a little light hearted dig at our neighbours. Why on earth would you not see that? It’s quite obviously nothing more than that? What do you see? Racism? Sexism?
And why on earth would someone reporting a post result in its immediate deletion when anyone with an ounce of pragmatism can see exactly what it is? Does this type of thing really result in cancellation?

Ndiaye with his hat trick, 4-0. This has been an absolute drubbing.

If you think that's a good way to contribute to a serious thread then you're not going to see any problems with it.

Was there for an Ireland game 5 or 6 years ago , did like the people no hassles at all , did a walking tour with this mad Partizan young lady have always liked them ever since . Hired bikes and cycled out on the river bank super stuff . Ohh we drew 2-2 and a certain Jeff Hendrink opened the scoring for us , what ever happened to him

Aye it was a Europa League game, United won 1-0. I didn't get to spend much time in the city unfortunately, was only there for less than a day then flew to Malta. Friendly people though, someone gave me a ticket for free that was in the neutral section. I did have one in the United end but it wasn't in my name so the club wouldn't let me have it

I'd like to go back to catch a Red Star game.

Re: Partizan v Red Star
I went to Red Star vs Partizan just before the Covid lockdown, the game was terrible but the atmosphere was incredible. I'd love to go back and see one at Partizan, I really enjoyed the city as well.
