Kate Bush.
I have a down on Annie Lennox after seeing her storm off stage at the Manc Arena cos people were talking during Why? Very unprofessional. Dave Stewart came on and told gags for 5 minutes while, I’m guessing, people were calming her down backstage.

Kate Bush.
Better singer, better songwriter, better human being.
IMHO, of course.

It's called 'Don't Give Up' but your point stands.

Looking like Kate is running away with this. Her talent started at 13 when she wrote "the man with the child in his eyes ..

Kate wrote the song when she was 13 and recorded it at the age of 16. It was recorded at AIR Studios in London, in June 1975 under the guidance of David Gilmour. She has said that recording with a large orchestra at that age terrified her..

Strange comparison, I don’t get it. For a start AL fronted a band and KB was a solo performer.

An early Annie Lennox band were The Tourists who were a bit quirky but its looking unanimous...Kate Bush has for more in her locker

Kate Bush all Day

The hook on CloudBusting is timeless

As are many of her songs

Hated Army Dreamers when my Dad used to play it in the car as a kid ….

Now I know the meaning and the words … it’s very powerful

She’s awesome

I may be completely wrong here but isn’t AL just a singer (albeit a good one) and perhaps is credited for writing some lyrics, whereas KB is a complete musician and can play multiple instruments as well as arrangements for many more, and also produces her own albums and by all accounts is a demanding taskmaster and perfectionist.

Not to mention a dance choreographer.

So I’m going with Kate.

Not really a fair comparison. However, if Kate Bush had never done anything after her debuting Kick Inside album, she would still win this, hands down.
