The Market Tavern, Todmorden
The Market Tavern, Todmorden
Gets better by the week. We go to Tod Fleaie most Thursday mornings, followed by The Market Hall. Plenty of local culture, including food stalls and Market Tavern owner, Mark, does meal deals in partnership with most of them and welcomes you bringing any other grub in. Ales, beers and lagers are all good too and he even has a great little dog in tow, who smiles at you whilst licking his balls. Highly recommendable - real old style.

Re: The Market Tavern, Todmorden
Are you highly recommending licking the dogs b*lls (old style) or have I misread that?

Heard they were flogging it off.

No, not Spoons but better now with this 2nd management regime. However, they do take CAMRA vouchers. Don't do food and just operate from the downstairs bar. Ok, in my opinion.ElectroClaret wrote: ↑Fri Sep 27, 2024 10:55 pmIs the White Hart still a Spoons?

Not surprised the dog smiles if he’s licking the landlords love spuds. The landlord is probably smirking as well…basil6345789 wrote: ↑Fri Sep 27, 2024 9:57 pmThe Market Tavern, Todmorden

Great atmosphere in Tod nowadays. A proper town with more and more attractions, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, with none of Hebden Bridge’s pretentiousness. OP Basil gets all his clothes off the flea market
