Foster came alive there.
He'll be a different player with someone alongside him.

We did well in wasting a bit of injury time against Plymouth, Preston just showed how to it for virtually ALL game

Re: Clarets v PNE Match Thread
Why does the game stop?
It's really easy, the ref just has to ask if he needs the trainer, if it is yes, then he has to go off afterwards for a spell of treatment. The cheating and diving would soon diminish.

How some people suggest Koleosho is remotely close to a 30m talent blows my mind.

Pace, acceleration, potential, youth, energy.
All measurable.
His lack of end product partially down to what there is to aim at.

Re: Clarets v PNE Match Thread
Not one positive from this game, absolute shambles.
Re: Clarets v PNE Match Thread
An absolutely crap display from both players and Parker. He has to get a LOT more from this squad. We huff and puff usually producing the square route of naff all. Miles away from being good enough today.

Another clean sheet.
Traffford untroubled again (ignoring the goal which should have stood).
Esteve and Egan Riley looked good.
Fkemming and Roberts coming back from injury.
Still in the playoff places despite not looking exciting.
5 there for you.

Re: Clarets v PNE Match Thread
Our problem is so clear to see. Sorry to scapegoat him but Foster is absolute ****. He offers us absolutely nothing. We are basically playing without a striker, he can't shoot from outside the box, isn't a fox in the box, can't control a ball, no intelligence regards runs to make. The only thing he can do is run for 20 or 30 yards from the half way line shielding the ball.
Jay Rod would lead the line better

Re: Clarets v PNE Match Thread
Only one defeat in 9...incredible given the way we've been outplayed by a good few lower teams.
We cant go on like this all season....this is barely mid table stuff.

I’m convinced he’s not half as good as people make out.
More than half the games this season he’s just offered nothing at all. In terms of raw ability Odobert was levels above

Re: Clarets v PNE Match Thread
Absolute rubbish that. We are so scared to play any pass that isn't completely safe. There are runners, we never hit them.
We are far too cautious. We don't need hannibal and Brownhill in the same 11 at home to Preston ffs.
We get to 80 minutes when the other team can make 25 substitutions and go down with cramp to show any kind of urgency to win the game. Preston won't have an easier point on the road this season

Re: Clarets v PNE Match Thread
Yer a bad one but we got a point , so park it and move on to the international break
Re: Clarets v PNE Match Thread
Awful and yes we've an unlucky number of injuries but the talent we have should be performing better than that.
Play offs looking questionable as an ambition now let alone automatic promotion.
Yes, I realise we're second... ( pending two 3pm games which will surely demote us to 3rd or 4th)

Been a defender of us recently, but that was utter garbage, and the only thing to take away is another clean sheet and a point.

I can see where the comparisons with Southgate come from now.
We are way too defensive especially at home run forward its not too hard.

That was poor even though we got a clean sheet, need to move ball a lot quicker to be up there as team's just sit in against us ...

Re: Clarets v PNE Match Thread
Pretty grim watch that was. The only positive is we didn't lose and didn't concede. Parker has his work cut out, oh and tell Koleosho that it is a team game and he can pass to one of our players before losing the ball.

Re: Clarets v PNE Match Thread
Need two up top and someone pushing on behind.
Two wingers crossing to one forward just doesn’t work especially when said wingers don’t cross it at pace and on the run.
Anthony should be putting balls in like against the bastards constantly , too much dribbling into traffic.

Saw more aggression in several players getting a yellow than in normal play
