Electrician

Post by Steddyman » Thu Oct 17, 2024 1:02 pm

Does anyone know a trusty electrican in the Burnley area?

Spent nearly a week trying my old one, using trustatrader and ringing around yell numbers and so far not a single response.

It is for fitting a new ceiling light and resolving a wiring issue with a light switch.

I’ve just had some electrical work done and he’s really good, a Burnley fan also. I’ll ask to see how busy he is.

Give Chris a call on 07930 687884. He’s done a lot of work for me recently and I can recommend him. He’s Burnley based.

Thanks Tony

I've rang Chris and he answered straight away and has given me not only a date and time but also a price. Seems a top bloke.

He’s done a lot of work for me recently in terms of lights & sockets and I’ve been more than happy.

Nice to hear there are still trades people out there who can be bothered to answer their fone and behave professionally.

My recent experiences have been soul destroying trying to find someone to respond to requests for some bespoke bathroom furniture making.

It was a decorator with me. More than once agreed to visit and then didn’t come near.

I always think I've dodge one when the same has happened to me. If they can't be arsed turning up to an agreed appointment or replying to a voicemail - then just think what they would be like when doing the work. Arrogant to deal with and crap at their job, I bet. Being decent with folk costs nothing. You don't want people who struggle with basic good manners on your property, or indeed inside your home.

Don’t get me going on plumbers. The mere thought of them enrages me.

That's been my experience with electricians for the past week, until today, thanks to CT.

To many kids leave school thinking a degree is all that matters in life, this thread shows there is a chronic shortage of tradesmen/women coming through. Good money can be earned whilst a lot of kids with useless degrees are flipping burgers.

He also turned up on the day he said he would, and did the work to the original quote.

He is a rarity indeed and highly recommended.

I’ve just gone looking for this thread to see if you’d had the work done. I’ve had numerous good recommendations on here for tradesmen so pleased I could return the favour.

I too use this message board to check for tradespeople, these days personal recommendations are the only way to go. Each time I’ve used a name/number from off here, I’ve been happy with work or purchases, so I thank you
