I've said it nearly every game this year and I'll end up saying it all season until we eventually invest - we need a proper CF to give us some chamce of retaining possession past the half-way line. Once again, we're missing someone to aim at.

Lots of possession and sideways passing but no way we will ever score if Anthony isn't there!!!!!

Get in!!!!!
I'm with you on the need for a CF but I would prefer a sniffer. I do like the look of how Flemming is putting himself about. He's strong and looks up for a battle. I think he could be the 'hold up' guy but the service isn't quite there yet.

I counted at least 3 dreadful errors from Egan-Riley. We really are getting away with him being there at the moment.
Koleosho is getting worse and worse every week, that left footed effort where he took it off Roberts stronger foot was absolutely brainless.

We need improvements in Jan, hopefully we can cling on to the top 2 until then because this team won't become a good team going forwards with the players we have available currently

No it's not a thread to give opinions about the club and team. There's countless other threads for that.
No one expects completely positives comments on every post but surely it's not too much to ask to keep the degree if negativity that this thread invariably brings to a minimum. Slagging off players and moves after 15 minutes is unacceptable to me and that usually happens.
You think a match day thread isn't going to have peoples opinions on it. What on earth are yout talking about?

So if we play badly then we all just stay silent?
It's these threads where I'd expect more negative opinions than anywhere else whilst the emotion is still flowing.

We have Koleosho, Anthony and Flemming to aim for.
The problem is we don't.
We are just far too negative in possession, and the safety first mind set.
We look far more dangerous when we up the tempo, and play positively. Teams fear that Burnley, this style doesn't frighten anybody.

Please, please, please push for a second and turn the screw.
If we try to sit on a goal lead, we will get exactly what we deserve.

Defence being less than solid means we the foundations are a bit shaky. Replace Egan Riley with a proper centre back and get one on the bench then look to build from there. January transfer window is going to decide this season.

Bang average really and that's being polite. Weds got in some good areas and had a few chances, but as this division continues to demonstrate there are many poor teams. Jaidon once again getting into some good areas and it was a cool finish. Brownhill needs dropping - going through the motions and doing absolutely nothing as usual; I've seen one pass from him and he's supposed to have a freer role to get into pockets and pick up the ball. Get him out of our team and club; he cba!

There again his pass resulted in the goal - but you’re right the rest of his passing has been very poor. He’s not alone in that though

Been keeping off the thread first half as watching on a stream 2 mins behind. Hope there has not been too much negativity although that is a big ask for some posters.

We have to be happy to go in 1-0 up with a well taken goal after a mistake following a long Egan Riley ball. Yes he can pass the ball longer than the 5 yards that some never get fed up of telling us.

The question for me is are Wednesday good enough to score. Hopefully half time gives Parker the opportunity of tightening things up at the back.

It's been a decent first half but more is needed.

It would help if we didn't have Worrall, Ekdal and Beyer all out injured, though Egan could fit in if Parker wanted to change it. The manager obviously has enough faith in E-R to play him instead of Egan though.

No idea how he's playing today, not there and no stream, but apart from the Blackburn game ER has been sound.
He, like Roberts, would look better in pro active lineups. It's why Conor looks better for Wales, he's encouraged to get forward. Sitting back doesn't suit anyone but SP apparently.

If we hold on we'll be top, and he can probably think he's right and be ****** off at the moaning, but the last 4/5 games have been hard to watch.

Just my take on it...the Championship is brutal with its none stop games. We have a very depleted squad at present, maybe Scott Parker is aware of this and as manager believes our players are good enough to take that one moment in a game. Building on a strong backlin3. Deciding too much intensity will only bring more injuries. So we sit in, wait for that chance, hope we take it and then move onto the next game in a few days time, whilst conserving as much energy as possible and keeping people off the treatment table
