Late entry turnstiles

Post by Buzzard » Fri Oct 25, 2024 9:01 am

Does anyone know what time the late entry turnstiles close? I am due to land at Leeds airport around 2pm tomorrow and wondering if I'd be able to get in to watch the second half. Thanks.

Do we have them? To be honest I've no idea what time the turnstiles close.

I found something from 2019 saying they stayed open until half time but obviously that's 5 years out of date now

I have been as late as around 25 mins. Got into Longside Upper ok. 1 turnstile.

If all closed, I would go to the hospitality entrance, show ticket and explain. They would be mean not to allow or sort access.

Thanks Tony and Ian. I'll give it a go tomorrow and hopefully having my six-year old daughter with me will help swing things in my favour.

As IanMcL says it would be mean not to allow access especially if you have a ticket. I haven't checked the T and Cs but I would be surprised if there was a cut off time for entry. In the bad (or good) old days of Div 4, half time was always the target for some.

I'd have suggested that but there is history of responses taking weeks or not at all unfortunately. I don't even know now who is the best person to speak to.

I turned up once at half time after a family do I couldn't get out of. I was led through the hospitality to be able to take my seat in the JHU. Was a couple of years ago. The normal turnstiles were closed and was directed to the hospitality entrance. Had to show my ticket of course.

Thanks all - we are in JHU so sounds promising that we might get in via hospitality even if main turnstiles are closed

I know it will be covered by stewards but there is a staircase goes from lower to upper tier at the cricket field of the Longside stand if they direct you there.

I would have tried to direct you to the safety officer for some advice but he left recently and I don’t know who’s replaced him.

My brother and I got in to the Longside at half time in December 2021 for the West Ham game, but honestly couldn't say if that was policy or luck. Hope you get in

Ticket office is open till half time selling tickets for the match being played.
I was once very late to a game (10 mins into 2nd half) went to ticket office which was still open who radioed a steward in the North Longside stand (hospitality) who was waiting for me to let me in.

I managed to get in via a turnstile at half time during the Preston match (thanks to Northern rail from Manchester)

Brilliant - thanks again for all the help. Just need Ryanair to be on time now!
