Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds

Post by willsclarets » Mon Nov 04, 2024 3:12 pm

Wondering if anyone's going to see him in Manchester tomorrow? If so, you're in for a big treat. Went to see him last night and it was something else. The new album is just made for live, Warren Ellis is absurdly good and his backing singers (4 gospel choir folk) make it pretty special. Reviews have been incredible anyway, but lived up to every bit of the hype. Anyway if you are going, enjoy!

As a side note, doing nearly 2 and a half hours of an intense show when you're 67 is something else!

I saw him in Leeds on Saturday night.
Exceeded my expectations. Absolutely outstanding.
If you can get a ticket for Manchester tomorrow, I doubt whether you will be disappointed.

Push the sky away. Really like Nick Cave and Warren Ellis thanks for the tip off. Might try and get a ticket

I was also at Leeds on Saturday. I'm a complete novice where Nick Caves music is concerned but my partner adores him. Tbf he was outstanding and well worth seeing live. Also it was very good value for money too with a run time of around 2h 15 minutes

I've seen him many times over the years & he never disappoints.

One of those acts i've never been able to get into, which annoys me as he is undoubtedly good.

It's good but doing 3 hours plus at 75 is better :)

Me and my partner saw him in France a couple of years ago. He was outstanding, felt like a preacher addressing his congregation. We were very tempted to go to see him in Manchester but the price put us off - just got back from a big trip away. Glad to hear he didn't disappoint. Will probably look back with regret but you can't win them all.
