Strange one getting rid of the sleepwalker so quick - performing better of the promoted 3 sides

Re: Steve Cooper
Results wise they are pretty much where you’d expect them to be
Probably the only game they would may have been disappointed with the result was the 1-1 draw with Ipswich

Interesting call, they are probably about where they should be. Not sure what their board expect.

Re: Steve Cooper
Very odd decision, if anything can be classed as odd in the modern game.

Re: Steve Cooper
The way he was complaining ( wrongly ) about the refs decisions yesterday , he knew it was coming. I really don't understand what the Leicester board expect from a team that's just been promoted . He won't be out of a job for long .

Re: Steve Cooper
Astonishing decision.
Having said that, Forest have improved since he left.
But still astonished.

I'm glad we're not that club that sacks managers on a whim, can't see him being out of a job for long.

Re: Steve Cooper
Another bonkers decision, borne out of unrealistic expectations.
As others have said, I don’t think he’ll be unemployed for too long.

Re: Steve Cooper
I wonder if he regrets ruling himself out of our job in the summer?

Re: Steve Cooper
Yes & no from the outside I'll agree but a quick cursory glance from the internal foxestalk none of them seem to agree & the performances have been shambolic. For what it's worth I don't think they'll do much better hiring somebody else. Forest did improve after he left but certain things happened favouring that betterment than a singular managerial departure. He'll definitely be hired somewhere else.Middle-agedClaret wrote: ↑Sun Nov 24, 2024 4:46 pmAnother bonkers decision, borne out of unrealistic expectations.

Re: Steve Cooper
I live in Leicestershire and there was a very lukewarm reception when he became manager. The more realistic fans were content with Cooper appreciating that few managers would want to join at the prospect of a serious points deduction. The atmosphere at the King Power in recent games has been really flat -my son went yesterday and he told me that when they resumed in the second half it was as if the crowd just kept talking not even realising they had kicked off. Surprised that Leicester made a change before Southampton did though

He was available in the Summer; if they appointed him, it'd show just how clueless their chairman is.kentonclaret wrote: ↑Sun Nov 24, 2024 5:43 pmRVN is available and the early favourite with Sky Bet.

Re: Steve Cooper
It would be interesting to know exactly where the Leicester board expected them to be at this time.
It'll be really difficult for all three promoted clubs to avoid relegation.

Re: Steve Cooper
Things have been as flat as a fart I'd even go as far to state that the odd equalising goal have just served to prolong his tenure they never took to him from the start.warksclaret wrote: ↑Sun Nov 24, 2024 9:30 pmI live in Leicestershire and there was a very lukewarm reception when he became manager. Just read a stat that Cooper has taken charge of 67 Premier league games and only won at 4 different grounds.

I hope Leicester go down and keep on going down
Never liked their owners spending and spending money and then nearly went bust owing players lots of unpaid wages

Re: Steve Cooper
Leics and their fans are plagued with delusion and over entitlement after their ( highly deserved) Prem title back in 2016. I’d imagine they’ll want a “ name” manager or famous ex player type appointment, though to think they’re gonna do better than a relegation scrap is somewhat optimistic . Fair play to their billionaire owner though , he still puts the money up and does indeed appear to be loving them longtime .

Re: Steve Cooper
I wonder how much a week or game he has cost Leicester including what must be a large pay off ?
Re: Steve Cooper
Dislike that club intensely. The media's "People's Club". More like 10p in the pound.
They didn't hesitate to bin their beloved Ranieri seven months after winning the title.

Leicester fans are clueless. When they sang at us at the Turf “ Champions of England, you’ll never sing that “. Really? We’ve won it twice , you bunch of imbeciles.

Re: Steve Cooper
Cooper did ok at Swansea and after that got unwarranted legendary status.
Not half as good as Sean Dyche.

Surely Linaker could do it part time with his eyes shut whilst he runs the country.
