Excellent half from Burnley. Especially considering the atrocious conditions?
Boro done n'olt other than a couple of dead ball kicks and a fortuitous?? goal

Thought we were superb there. One piece of poor defensive play (a rarity) aside. Did conditions play a part in our dominance? We’ll find out this next half…

Happy to take 1-1 at half time, but should be ahead really.

We look good today though, incisive from Sarmiento too, he deserved a goal

Not just the stunner he's scored, but Roberts has had a really good 1st half.

Definite signs of improvement here. Really really pleased with that. Great response to going a goal down.

Travesty that we're a goal down and this would be great to watch on the comfort and warmth of my sofa in UHD if we weren't losing. But....

We still look so unlikely to score for all our attacking intent and you can't help feeling Boro already have this won. And should just have gone 2-0 up and game definitely over.

This lot will finish above us. No doubt.
Have an early night Bob......

Luca doesn’t look interested tonight, probably the most room in behind a RB he’ll have all season, and instead of using his one strength of pace, he’s doing everything but running at his man at pace.

And Roberts has deserved a goal recently, been class. I’m hoping that goal inspires the others to start having a go from distance, especially in this weather!

We played very very well there against a good side. Roberts and Sarmiento are our best players.

I’m just sick to the back teeth of Koleosho though. It’s like playing with an under 10 out there who doesn’t understand the game whatsoever.

Electric on the Turf tonight, that 'big match' feel has not disappointed. Brilliant first half, didn't want it to end.

Deserved that. They are dangerous on the counter. This ref is abysmal. Minimal contact for them, refuses our fouls in similar circumstances. Absolute dogshit.

Goalkeeper was way off his line or it would have been a straight forward catch for Connor’s shot

Not the first time ive said this. There are posters on here that are not Burnley supporters. Burnley by far the better team. Fantastic first half and a very enjoyable watch.

Really impressive first half performance, considering the conditions and the opposition.

Let's go on and win it.

Roberts has been such a big reason why we've been more dangerous going forward recently. Really pleased for him he's got a goal. Well deserved

A really good half. We’re crying out for a decent forward. But not sure where the service would come from. Luca is so poor in possession.

Sadly Humphreys offers nothing going forward, everytime Luca gets the ball we're crying out for an overlap.
Gotta disagree on that one on this occasion I think he's offered quite a bit going forwards whilst sticking like #### to the impressive Doak.

Pires is probably the better attacking left back but Humphreys has shown he is an excellent defender today. Very impressed with the ways he's cut out play and martialed doak since that early shot.

Checking in from the Arctic Circle.

Good first half, controlled it early on before their goal and decent play from both teams. BFC fans sounded good, as do Boro.

More of the same 2nd half

Sarmiento been well up for it and we have been comfortably the best team. Need to take more of those longer punts on the conditions.

Couldn’t agree more with you ,we need to get this guy signed he’s against a **** hot winger and I know he got a bit out of position for their goal ,but he’s got pace he can play across the back 4 and he’s going to fill out into a brick shithouse .

A very good performance against a decent team. We've controlled the first half but our final ball going forwards is still lacking. Let's keep up the intensity and possession in the second half and we can win this. Would like to see Jayrod and Fleming on together for a while.

Looked like Egan had been training on a different pitch to the rest of the defenders he was so far behind. You would think Egan Riley would have been with them and their player would have been offside. Might just be rustiness. Egan does score goals though from corners :) .

He's ridiculous for his age, as is the entire back line
Esteve 22, Egan-Riley 21, Humphreys 21, Pires 23

He’s been our player of the last month, including his Wales appearances. Bang in form and a working partnership with Jaidon Anthony.

Interesting - I thought he lost him a few times and Doak nearly scored a cracker into the bottom corner.
