Hannibal

Is it possible to give a 1 on the player ratings? Horrendous performance.

Awful. Cost us a goal by refusing to play in Anthony and proceeded to give the ball away at every opportunity possible

It was a very entertaining game played in dreadful conditions
He does tend to get bookings but plays hard

If played in his position, he might be okay. He's a central midfielder, not a number 10 or a right winger.

Unfortunately, we've not played him in his actual position once since he's arrived.

Anthony going for goal instead of passing to Brownhill was actually a worse decision.

Hannibal was pretty poor today in his cameo but he’s most definitely got some quality and potential. The more he plays the more he will pick the right decisions . Not defending the decision to not play Anthony in mind you, that was a shocking choice in his behalf. He’s a good player who will get better the more he plays

The Hannibal issue is a bigger issue of us using too many defensive minded players in forward positions that they just don't have the skill to play in. Hannibal and Laurent have both been used as number 10s this season, whilst Flemming who is a number 10 has been used exclusively as a number 9.

Just play your players in their correct bloody positions and it might give them a chance to impress.

Agreed, in Hannibal’s case I think he was much much better in a deeper role as more of a box to box player

I’m not sure Hannibal playing as an 8 in a midfield 3 is that wrong. It’s the position he’s played for his whole career I believe. I’m not sure why folk seem to think he’s playing as a 10, ive genuinely not seen it once!

Hannibal is a 21 year old and can't get a game in his position because we halready have some great players there.

He's 21 years old....

Give the lad a break, he played right wing in awful conditions on the right wing to help the team.

It is annoying when young players make mistakes but that is the only way to learn.

His enthusiasm and energy is infectious and genuinely wants to do well for the club.

Or would you prefer a Tresor character?

Again, same with Flemming, he's proven as anumber 10 but playing out of the position for the good of the team.

Surely that's obvious and we should understand that they are sacrificing their own personal stats / performance for the team/club and support rather than criticise them.

Same for Koleosho, he's 20 and still learning, only played a handful of games in professional football.

Back in the day a young player was supported and given leeway by fans with an understanding of the game knowing that would help their development.

All very good points mate. I see Koleosho’s shoulder drop when the fans get on at him for the mistakes he makes ( a lot of them too)

Call it an 8 or a 10, but he’s been playing as the most advanced midfielder more often than not. He’d suit a deeper role.

When it all kicked off beyond the touch line on the Bob Lord side in the second half. Guess who ran 30 yards to get involved. You guessed it, Hannibal. He’s a right hot head and I am fed up of his antics already. He needs to grow up, stop thinking he’s better than he is, and concentrate on improving rather than being a prat.

He’s good at pressing.

The problem comes when he wins the ball back. Often he’s the furthest forward and hasn’t a clue what to do with it. As I said, he’d suit a deeper role.

He's certainly not gonna make us a more attractive or elegant side, but if you need someone to rough up/bully/upset the opposition then he's ya man. I guess that's why he came on as they Middlesbrough were gathering a bit of momentum. I suppose it worked.

I thought the him and Fleming were both poor when they came on tonight. It was against a decent side and the conditions were horrendous. But I have yet to see anything decent either player that gives me optimism.
