Good report, good game given the conditions. Boro a very decent side.

"Sky pundit Lee Hendrie thought it was a brilliant finish, he said so, he really did, but the more I’ve seen it the more I think he was more intent in trying to win a penalty than score a goal. Whether he meant it or not, it went in and we were behind."
Totally agree, having watched it back a few times, he almost stubs his boot into the ground looking for the foul.

It's was a lucky, freakish finish, their goal. Lee Hendry, not for the first time, was talking through his back passage.
But they're the best side we've played in the league this year.
Given the awful weather it was a remarkably good game.

Boro looked a far better team yesterday than the one we last faced. Interestingly I’ve seen some of their fans say we are the best team they’ve faced this season. It was a good game.

I have chatted with my Stepson (he is an ex-claret with Boro wife and family up in Guisborough) on line today and he said just the same.
I watched on my phone last night 80% of the match, and I thought Boro were one of the better teams we have played at TM this season.
On Dijksteels goal ... he was a lucky lad he scuffed it over Traff ... but Connor Roberts hit possibly goal of the season (so far) last night (he likes scoring against Boro 😉)

It was a very good game in challenging conditions ...

Should have won it, because we had so many chances where the final pass of the move was the wrong one, or the player elected to shoot rather than pass to a teammate in a better position.

But yes, they were a very fair side.

Still, on to the Rams.
