Credit to the Cricket Field today. They kept it going, helped by a superb team performance.
Been literally missing, last couple of matches.

Re: Atmosphere
Watched from near back of Longside, bar the first and last 10 mins that was thoroughly enjoyable. Dominant.
A word for the CFS who sounded great and also for the Jimmy Mac lower fans who lasted most of game in driving rain for much of it, terrible conditions.

We are "reactive" when we should be "proactive"
Not easy, but needs to be done.
In many ways, it is far easier when we are away from home.

Re: Atmosphere
I thought the atmosphere was very good today.
Due to my age I now have to sit in the BLS whose patrons are not known for being a vociferous bunch.
However, in the second half there was spontaneous clapping around me and even some singing took place until most of them ran out of breath.

I must apologise to Woodley as I said it was tonight’s only negative comment,Barlick you’ve joined him,we’ve played some crap this year and if we’d played like we did today on a balmy spring day most of us would be delighted but to turn in a performance like todays in the most horrendous conditions was truly exceptional.Barlickclaret wrote: ↑Sat Dec 21, 2024 9:25 pmShould have felt sorry for everybody freezing cold, and no excitement. If you think that our performance today was “crap to watch” then maybe you need to try another sport. In football terms that was a cracking performance and a very good, exciting, game despite some grim conditions.Barlickclaret wrote: ↑Sat Dec 21, 2024 9:25 pmShould have felt sorry for everybody freezing cold, and no excitement. Yeh, crap to watch, no pattern, no excitement, 2nd goal today was class. But otherwise same as every week. But that's my opinion, can't take to parker yet.
Re: Atmosphere
It was Mad Friday yesterday, evertone includind the Hornets were hung over. I remember us at Barnsley on Boxing Day 23 years ago - 6000 of us, not one song, awful, and nothing from the Barnsley lot until they scraped a late ugly goal.

Why comment on a Burnley thread if you watched Everton ...

Wow you run coaches , doesn't make you a football genius, I said in my opinion. I've watched burnley and football probably as much as you have, we are awful to watch but I will still support them.
Just a little question ?? Have you played football.
Re: Atmosphere
I always worshipped you back in the day when we were going on away days, but now you are clearly too old and grumpy.
Life's too short though, I still love you.

What has running coaches or having or not having played football got to do with it? If you can't just accept us for what we are, then fine. Go watch Man City! Re: Atmosphere
Thanks for the offer but I'm absolutely fine. Which obviously some people aren't! After last week's game we had exactly the same record after 21 games under Kompany, won 11 drawn 8 and lost 2 but with +1 better goal difference. We've played excellent today against a team that are very good going forward but who created very little. We've only conceded 9 goals in 22 games and no team has scored more than 1 against us. Ok, the football hasn't been great every games but considering the Manger was given a bum hand with losing so many players before the start of the season, I'd say that we're doing ok. Now if that's not good enough for you you're probably watching the wrong team! We're Burnley, not Barcelona!

Re: Atmosphere
Totally agree, can't see us getting better, but the sides in this league are worse, we are a much better team with today's line up but it's still not good to watch. Maybe because our flair players under kompany were better that what we've got now.

Seems to me the only thing Leisure is ‘guilty’ of is expressing a different opinion to yours. Perhaps you should take some of your own advice?

You seem to be singling out those that would actually want to watch the match.
To be fair, I was the same as you with my insular, narrow minded views.
