This is a good watch. He is very unbiased when it comes to other teams, for a Leeds fan

Very good. He can't be a proper Leeds fan being so fair minded. He'd be better off becoming a claret.

Good listen, this.
Rincon is right, hard to imagine he’s a real Leeds fan with such good knowledge and objectivity
What I would say is interesting is that a) any fans are surprised by our league position - we have the most valuable and strongest squad by a mile, or b) any fans are saying we’ll drop off - double ditto point a.
Would love to see other teams league positions with our number of injuries this season! It’s usually the club with the strongest squad that wins the Championship marathon and although it’s entirely feasible we have the worst season for injuries and do t quite make the cut, nobody should be discounting us with players to come back and the January window in play. If anything, I’d be expecting an improvement in the second half of the season.

Where does the most valuable squad thing come from?
If we are basing it on what transfermrkt are saying then around €50m can be deduced from the total given Tresor, Ramsey and Beyer haven’t played a minute.
I believe this would put us around level with Sheff Utd if we are using this metric and not ‘that’ far clear of others.
I think some may be ‘surprised’ (not sure anyone has said that specifically) given the turmoil the club was in late in the summer - it really was a chaos in those last 2 weeks, the comments on the Wolves away match thread would be interesting to pull up.

If only the other 999,999,999 Leeds fans around the world were as fair minded and knowledgeable as this guy the world would be a happier place.

But those 3 ARE still part of the squad. Many teams have players who haven't kicked a ball this season, whether through injury or lack of quality.

They are, but obviously it (significantly) artificially inflates the squad value if we are using that as a metric vs current points gained. And you may be right re. other teams, but I doubt they have €50m worth!

I was referring to transfermarkt valuations, which I agree are anomalous for all teams (still, an external benchmark), but as bfcmik says, the players you mentioned are still part of the squad. Every team has injuries and situations that exclude players from squads.
Even including the ‘chaos’ in summer there’s still not a single squad in the Championship squad that I’d swap for ours. Not in a million years. I could argue Leeds maybe have a starting XI as strong as ours (with our injuries/situations) but that’s the only team close to us. And we beat them at Elland Rd. Squad wise there’s nothing under the surface.
Sheffield United I think have a strong XI at full strength and may have a decent window if the £50m budget is correct, but we’ve just outclassed in their own back yard with the injuries/situations you mention.
Nobody will have me believe there’s a stronger Championship squad than ours this season.

The OP beat me to it. I was going to start a thread about this video. Excellent and objective.
